Nobody likes a quitter.I give everyone a chance before I make any kind of judgement. I do that because I’ve never played or coached football. My sport was baseball. And I still have hope for the season. It’s not over until it’s over.
Especially me.Nobody likes a quitter.
thank you. It's too much cliche speak and not enough hard, truthful answers.Hmmm: starting the response with "at the end of the day". Where have I heard that tired cliche before? Oh wait....
Too bad you weren’t there to follow up that statement by Coach Cupcake with facts.Ferguson is not a good player.
Good players don’t drop passes at the rate he does.
Good players don’t fumble at the rate he does.
Good tight ends block better than he does.
Ferguson is a bad player.
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked about Jake Ferguson’s play and potentially getting Brevyn Spann-Ford more opportunities:
“At the end of the day, everything’s being evaluated. As we look at this process, no one’s sicker than (Ferguson) about (his dropped pass that turned into an interception). We know what a great player he is, but at the same time, we’re evaluating all that stuff.
“I think we’ve proven that we’ve got really three really good tight ends. Those are the conversations that we’ll have in-house with these guys and make them understand. But if the performance is not where it is, then we’re going to have the conversation, explain to them why, show them the why. There’ll certainly be some adjustments or changes that come.
“But to be very, very clear, Jake Ferguson is a big, big part of what we’re building here offensively moving forward. He’s got a number of touchdowns and the next ball that gets thrown to him, I have no doubt in my mind that he’s going to catch it.”
This is the most annoying thing, drops can happen fine, but the amount he whiffs, as does Hunter, schoon, and even spann ford is like unacceptable.Schotty needs to brush up on this vocabulary use also. Great? Whiff blocks, "catches" with his face.
Exactly, Ferg got paid, married and then gave up. I guess he figured "he made it" and didn't have to work on his craft anymore. Ferg should be dominating at least in the passing game with Ceedee and GP on the field. Dude is doing nothing. Spann-ford, Schoonmaker and Trigg can do what Ferg is doing and Trigg and Spann-ford could probably do more.Ferguson doesn’t even give off body language as if he actually even wants to be there.
Same can be said with Bland and SteeleThe problem is Ferg is not a good player. But he is paid like a top 10 TE in the NFL. We should have let Ferg walk when his contract was up. Instead we over pay for someone who is a JAG.

This is what’s frustrating.Everything will be evaluated, but at the end of the day nothing will change.
Ferg is sick, Dak is pissed, Williams is upset in his play, Bland is frustrated, Jones is extraordinarily disappointed, etc.; we are getting all adjectives covered except victorious.I don't care if freggie is just sick about his drops
They restructured Bland and Ferguson when they created the 30 million in space I thoughtSchoonmaker will be gone after this year. Ferguson should be gone. But they won’t. It is what this team does. Like their guys and hang onto them.
Like they can’t admit they made yet another mistake.
Spann-Ford just resigned so he won’t be going anywhere. And that is ok. He is very good on ST’s. But needs more opportunities on offense. Though he has been mediocre at best.
They need to dip into FA next year. Or trade players like Bland, Ferguson, to get one. I don’t trust them drafting TE’s. Been failures ever since Witten.
