Why do you want to make the playoffs?

It does 100%. If you dont understand the importance playing in the playoffs has on building a strong team, the there isnt anything that can help you

The idea that missing the playoffs is better than making them is about as loser mentality as you can get
The problem a few people have is the WAY we lose in the playoffs. Consistently so...when we do make them

Go 12-5 with high enthusiam and support, then show up for a wild card game at home ...(8-0 at home btw)...and just completely no-show it...AND after allegedly planning the victory party before the game? As if it'd just be given to you? (gee where did I hear THAT recently?) That doesn't hit you at all?

Then of course we beat the 8-9 losers Bucs. Took care of them like we ...um...usually...do. Then we went out to battle San Fran like we've done for decades...what happened there? Couldn't manage to put up a respectable fight. Showed our true colors with REAL playoff teams.

If you want to "build a strong team"....then you just can't go out like that. It leaves a bad taste for a LONG time.

I really don't mind losing. But do it with some dignity and make them pay for it. Don't poo your drawers and fall face first in it. That's not building a team either.

What would you consider last weeks game against the Bucs? lol.

This team has shown us who they are in do or die games. In the reg season and in the playoffs.

Nothing has changed dude.

Maybe I am just bitter but for you to sit there and act like getting to the playoffs and getting run over by the Niners is going to build "character" in a team that half of them wont even be here next year is nonsensical to me.
You think the 5th game of the season is "due or die" ? Lmao

Dude you need to grow some stones

Ok.

So again ill ask you.

If its so important, how come the Cowboys with Dak in charge of the QB position, havent improved? Since its important to building a strong team?

The last time they were in the playoffs Dak and the Cowboys got run off the field by a 7 seed. At home.

By your logic, they should have been REAL STRONG!
You’re losing the narrative of your own thread if you’re just going to rant about Dak. There are a hundred threads for that.

This thread is for you to unite the fandom in rebellion.

Give us a five point plan.

I tried to help organize your strategy with some bullet points but the mission needs your leadership to convince Jerry to sell the team.

I don’t want to detract from your goal, but the reason I root for the playoffs is because football is fun and playoff football is the most fun of all. Maybe I should reconsider and stop watching the NFL altogether.

Dude is so emotional it would probably be wildly entertaining
Awww here comes the name calling.

Yet I am the emotional one.

Who is being emotional. I dont care if this team wins or loses. I am indifferent.

I find it entertaining the hoops you guys go thru to defend this joke of a franchise because you are too "emotional" to be realistic about how bad it really is right now.

This team is a marketing company masquerading as a football team.

They are a Daniels injury and a HOU coaching staff away from being 0-5 and you think going to the playoffs is going to magically build their character?

And I am the emotional one? lol

Your entire thesis on the playoffs is what an emotional fan says.

Dallas was 1-15 in 1989. In 1990 they played 3 primetime games. One was Thanksgiving.

The 49ers won the Superbowl in 1989. In 1990 they played 3 primetime games.

Back then the only primetime games were Monday and Sunday Night (and Thanksgiving).

The point is, Dallas is going to be on TV no matter what.

I just made mention of the green bay playoff game where we preplanned the victory party.

Then Dak practically admits they did the same thing with Bucs.

They learned nothing and just rehash the same "culture" over and over.

I keep seeing this recurring theme here about wanting to make the playoffs, and while I get it, I really dont.

Being on this forum I am convinced a lot of you dont watch other football teams play.

If Dallas squeaks into the playoffs, it will be to get embarrassed nationally. There is no amount of "growth" this defense can have this season that will help them against LA, SF, or a host of other NFC teams that run hard, and play to win.

So other than your own "fan" inside, which makes me question the word because any self respecting fan wouldnt want to just get there so they can be "right".

This team needs an exorcism and the only way that happens is if they lose, a lot, and the NFL pulls their primetime slots.

You want to know when Jerry will care? When that happens.

So please, stop cheering for other teams to lose, get hurt, just so the lowly Cowboys can sneak in to get curb stomped by SF, again.

Or please explain to me why you even want to get there. You know this is going to happen. It is not a what if.
You’re only torturing yourself, nothing‘s changing,

You had fun watching the Cowboys last playoff appearance?

Interesting

Not if they get flexed out.

Its not like it was in the 90s.

Me finding it funny and pointing me out doesn't make emotional. You know emotions are right?

Nope.

Doesnt mean I cant voice my opinion.
That’s not what I said, if it’s torturing you, if it’s causing your mental anguish, keep hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, only you know when to stop,
Nothing to do with opinion , has to do with being unhappy.
Just concerned that’s all

Your sarcasm is noted and I dont really care.

You dont have to respond if you dont agree with the thread.

Really dont give a you know what.

I told you the plan.

Stop rooting to back into the playoffs and be Cowboys fans.

This fan base used to KNOW they were making the playoffs.

Now we cower and hope to sneak in?

The green bay game is "fun" for you?

I'm not sure you care at all for the Cowboys...if that's your idea of "fun".

I can't root against the team I rooted for all my life until they are eliminated from the playoffs, and even then it's hard.
