OT tackles allowing only 7% pressure rate

This data comes from NFL Pro, which is the NFLs data arm that uses Next Gen stats so there’s actually good tech behind it, but it lacks a human element. They track microchips in shoulder pads and the ball. Here’s how they define a pressure.
  • A Pressure: This is an umbrella term. A play is flagged as a pressure if a defender executes a sack, a QB hit, a hurry (getting within 1.5 yards), OR if the defender is within 2 yards of the quarterback at the exact split-second the ball leaves the passer's hand.
PFF
As to the more commonly cited PFF, it can’t be trusted. Cris Collinsworth, the principal owner, sold all of their tech to Teamworks and then fired almost all their employees.

PFF is now essentially a zombie shell company that pays Teamworks to feed that data into its AI managed website.

Teamworks didn’t hire any of rhe actual analysts and quality control people in the deal. They just have a bunch of entry level contractors working from home, churning out the grades as fast as possible.

Sports Information Systems (SIS)

If you want human graded film study with legit football people doing it, you want SIS

If you want scientific data collection, using tech like microchips in shoulder pads and the football, you want Next Gen Stats (NFL Pro)

Both are much better than PFF

Depends on how they count it....... maybe if Dak gets rid of the ball before the tackle could get around... it's not counted as a pressure. But I would say Steele has had some bad plays this year that looked egregious on tape, but maybe they weren't that many. Just egregious enough for us to remember it, but maybe they weren't more than 4 or 5. But I would agree offensive line has been solid this year except for the Bucs game.

Great information, thanks.

Statistics dont lie
Mark Twain popularized the saying in Chapters from My Autobiography, published in the North American Review in 1907. "Figures often beguile me," Twain wrote, "particularly when I have the arranging of them myself; in which case the remark attributed to Disraeli would often apply with justice and force: 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.'

Ya I'm seeing a QB that's doing an excellent job at avoiding contact. Guyton has been great. Well above my expectations. I'm genuinely impressed. Steele has not been good in pass pro. He might be slightly better than last season, but not saying much. I like the guy, wish him success, but he's clearly the weak link.

Data is plural. Datum is singular.

It is "these data," not "this data."

1 we don't want to be good because of his history of struggling, but being a good run blocking OT

The other is trying to set his family up for life!!

Not buying it!!!
