I have accepted it. This is just not a good team

Not saying they don't have talent. But something is off. The defense can't tackle anybody and the offense, while good most of the time has stretches where it looks like high school. Missing blocks, throws in the dirt, receivers playing volleyball instead of making the catch. No one is immune. I am starting to believe in "the curse." What I am watching doesn't make any logical sense. Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark are not this easy to block. The defense cannot tackle any RB except Derrick Henry. And they can't tackle any QB at all. Maybe it's Schottie.. I thought the guys would respond to his low key, no BS, honest approach but they haven't. They like him but they are not inspired by him. And that worries me.. This team plays without passion.. and as good as some of them are.. as a whole they are not talented enough to get away with that. It's left me unable to enjoy any game. And to be honest I'm starting to get kinda mad about that. I need to see some guys breathing fire Sunday night.. Even if we lose I need to see all 46 guys who suit up playing with their hair on fire. If they don't then Schottie might not even need to get back on the flight home cause he will be unemployed before the post game interviews are done.

I wish all observers, especially older fans, would think back and ask themselves, "When have I seen the entire team play with their hair on fire all season long?" Not one player. Not six or seven players. All starters and backups.

Maybe then the realization will begin sinking in that the underlying problem precedes Brian Schottenheimer. Precede, as in a LONG time ago.

I was hopeful as well, but apparently it’s going to take a bit more than Parker and a few draft picks to erase the Jerry stench.

Funny how things just find a way to go wrong. Always. Things catch up in life, and Jerry is paying. I fully believe that. We are along for the fun.

I mean there's a reason guys like Aikman have been more negative than not over the decades. No matter is is the coach, or players the team always falters.
Most guys who get 2nd contracts decline quickly or get distracted.
Its starts at the top and bleeds down.

Remember how we used to say that until we get Garrett's stench off this team that we will never go over the hump. Until we get who was involved in that GB loss off this team - we will never go anywhere. That's where I'm at right now.

I bet if Dak went somewhere else with no pressure and not having to deal with the 32nd defense for multiple years in his career he'd probably do better in the divisional round. DAL needs a QB that will get them over the hump which is their FO, team building and draft and develop strategy. Until we have a Josh Allen or Pat Mahomes in the building the pressure will be too much for this team.

Exactly. The defense’s performance is especially absurd. They look like they’re moving at half speed. I get that they lack talent in areas, but you’d get the same result with a defense that consisted entirely of street free agents. It compels the question: Why doesn’t it? Why waste the resources?

Wait. You really think that Josh Allen or Mahomes could win with this defense???

Exactly. Mad Genius gets under criticized because he does not suit up for games and does not walk the sidelines dressed like a coach. It is a superficial perception.

The franchise's cultural architect is Jerrel Wayne Jones Sr. Everyone works within the work environment he sets. How players and coaches ultimately perform is a direct reflection of his every day influence.

Certainly, a good head coach can drill their coaching philosophy into their players. Adopting and converting to the coach's personality is easier according to the quality of that particular coach, but it is a daily battle of maintaining a team's central focus.

Any teams, in any sport, at any level, are simply a makeup of different personalities. Teams that are regularly competitive and successful do not have a pseudo promotional mouthpiece floating around them 24/7 and getting talked about not just them but OTHER people outside their group. It is why a post-Jimmy Johnson Jerry Jones overseeing type persona is atypical in all sports. Examples exist but they are far from the norm.

Josh Allen I do because he can run the ball and it would protect the clock. The fact that Prescott cannot run in short yardage situations is hurting our offense and ability to stay on the field.

We do not have a tush push, we are scared that our QB will hurt his leg on a sneak, he never pulls for RPO. These are all plays that here and there would keep the offense on the field IMO.

No team plays like that all the time. But do they have to look uninspired, and play with low intensity? The defense that is. Games against the Giants and Tampa, did it look low effort on D to you on D? Or is it just me?

100% Ronnie. The talent is better than the product on the field. As a resident cynic, even I will admit they have more talent now than they have had in recent years. But that talent is not gelling on the field for some reason. I believe it is the coaching. Schottenheimer is just not a good HC. Parker may be good someday, but he is not good now, and if he is learning on teh job then heis taking too long because the season is blowing by pretty fast. I won't say this is a Super Bowl team, they are not, but they should win 10 games at least. Yet, I feel like 7 will be closer to the result at the end of the year.

One thing to me is pre season. Players get injured first, second game. Basics aren't taught like the past . Anyway I'm excited about tomorrow

It's kinda fascinating.

I hate it but Schotty's second season isn't promising. Maybe he'll pull it out

It is not just you, but I also watched the offense perform with less than desired intensity against New York and the Bucs. Or is it just me?
