NFL beat writer Rick Gosselin answered your questions in a chat Thursday. Here are some highlights.
Alex-Ocala asks ... Who do you think will end up being the teams DC? It seems like Garrett wants an aggressive 3-4 and frankly, we need that. Thoughts?
RICK GOSSELIN: I think it was widely accepted in Dallas that Jones made a good choice in Garrett. But I'm not sure that it was universally regarded across the NFL as a great hire. Garrett was half to blame for that 6-10 mess of a season. He ran the offense, which turned the ballover 30 times. But no one knows how Garrett will be as a head coach. No one knew about John Harbaugh, a relative unknown hired by the Ravens. He turned into a gem -- taking Baltimore to the playoffs each of his first three seasons. No one knew about Josh McDaniels. He didn't last two season with the Broncos. I've long thought Garrett had a chance to become a great coach. But he's still at the front end of the learning curve. Time will tell.
RandB asks What changes do you see coming on Cowboys' staff? Are Pasqualoni and Campo and Houck goners? I hope so.
RICK GOSSELIN: I think come the NFL combine in February, you're going to see a coaching staff with Jason Garrett's stamp on it. Different faces, different coaching approaches and a lot of changes. What the Cowboys were doing on the field and on the sidelines wasn't working. Garrett knows that. I expect wholesale changes in both places.
