Everyone at DC.com who weighed in on the game is predicting the Cowboys will lose - all five of them, along with 99% of the rest of the free world. The bookies in Chechnya are probably getting so much action on the Broncos they are laying off bets all over the old Communist Bloc. That's just the way it is.

Spread went down from 8.5 to 7.5 from heavy betting on the Cowboys.

Not about feelings. It is about posters wanting to get info on their team, have intellegent discussions on the Boys without having every thread crapped on by the same group of posters.

Posters who claim to be fans, that have a pathelogical need to drag everyone else down to their depressed, borderline suicidal level.

I remember when this was the best forum following the Cowboys...what a disgrace it has become.

I'm sure this board as well as all Cowboy boards reflect how the team has been performing the last 3 seasons. I believe CZ started in 04 and during the first 6 years of this boards existence the Cowboys had 5 winning seasons 3 of which the team made the playoffs. I'm sure there was a lot more optimism back then but the last 3 seasons have been incredibly disappointing and the 2013 team is off to the same up and down start we've been seeing. I can't imagine there's isn't a Cowboys forum out there whose fans aren't showing some frustration with the inconsistency we've been witnessing with the Cowboys going on 4 seasons now. I'm sure many of the optimistic FANS lurk because even some of them have become discouraged with the team.

You're speaking of "other team" boards with franchises that probably haven't had near the great history the Cowboys have had. No fan board is unique to negativity especially Cowboy fan boards. Cowboy fans have been spoiled over the years with 20 consecutive winning seasons and 5 SB championships. I don't spend time on boards of other teams but I find it hard to believe that fans of teams that have been less than mediocre for over a decade are all pumping sunshine at every 4-12 and 5-11 season they have to endure. At some point frustration is going to set in for all fan bases. I've been on a number of Cowboy boards and when the Cowboys aren't performing up to standards the posts of fans reflect it.

This is true in terms of negative posters here but what is ironic is that when the team had a little success (relative to the Campo years) under the Parcells regime, many of the current anti-negative posters now, were actually constantly complaining and negative at that time.

Further, two 8-8 back to back seasons with a current average record, is not going to inspire the fan base to be positive.

There will always be negative posters but when the recent past has been average and the current Cowboys landscape is murky at best, one should expect a negative response from many in the fan base.
