Practicing for the Cowboys: S Barry Church and RB DeMarco Murray.
Not practicing for Cowboys: DeMarcus Ware, J.J. Wilcox, Morris Claiborne, Danny McCray, DeVonte Holloman, Miles Austin.

DeVonte Holloman not practicing but doing some conditioning work. Austin on field but not in uniform
Rehab day for DeMarcus Ware. Don't see Miles Austin on the practice field. No Danny McCray, Morris Claiborne , Brian Waters, JJ Wilcox

I really have no understanding of how guys like McCray and Holloman get hurt. Yea, yea, practices are difficult, but if you can't make it through practices, how can anyone expect you to get through games?

A lot of salary cap is tied up in guys not on the practice field or even the roster. A lot.

I swear year after year I get fed up with seeing Miles on the injured report. Please cut ties with this guy in the offseason!

Thank you. I had one wish come true....when Ratliff was axed.
Now, next up for me is Miles Austin. He cannot get out of town soon enough. Sure, he has made some amazing catches...many very difficult ones. But thats not a good enough trade off for his injuries, drops, seemingly lack of hustle at times. Cant wait til he is gone.

Ware, Wilcox, Claiborne, Austin, Waters, Spencer, Ratliff. That's seven projected starters entering the season. How many other teams are going to be down that many starters this week?

That's not even counting Murray and Church, who are coming off injuries and might be playing at less than 100%.

My optimism for the season isn't waning because we've lost a few close games vs. good teams. The fact that we can seemingly play with anybody is really the one thing that GIVES me optimism. Say what you will about Jason Garrett, the team plays hard for him.

My optimism's waning because, once again, we're getting royally screwed by the injury gods. There's only so many "next man ups" a team can take before the wheels fall off and they're no longer contenders, and it feels like we're already close to hitting that limit.

I'd like to know how many weeks Austin was on the injury report last year and so far this year.

Miles is till on this team? In all seriousness though, it's amazing how little I've even heard him mentioned (as in not at all) outside of the injury report.

They got hurt playing special teams in games, not in practice.

Was Scandrick playing hard when he let a scrub WR blow by him when all be had to do was keep him in front and in bounds? Was the entire defense playing hard when they didn't even get set for a possible fake spike and qb sneak?

It's truly amazing, and not in a good way.

We're probably second only to the Raiders in terms of cap space for players not on the field for us.

A quick guesstimate would say about $25 million this year for Spencer, Ratliff, and Austin.

Take away Dez, Romo and Lee and we ARE the Raiders

remember when you said that we are "set" at OL for a long time?
and that was before we signed waters

that is the level of your football knowledge

If that's what you got from that post, then you obviously lack basic reading comprehension skills.
