Game Day ***Cowboys vs Saints post game thread***

I would call this a beatdown, but that would be an insult to beatdowns.

The sad thing is, they tried tonight. They really did. They focused on running the ball early on, the defense was running hard to the ball even late in the game, Ware and Harris showed some guts in playing through injuries. They did not quit in this game.

They just aren't good enough. In any phase of the game.

The defense is way too injured, the offense is far too easy to get off track, they just can't make their way against really good passing games.

It's embarrassing watching the all time team records for futility set defensively, but the offense is getting a pass for how ineffective they have been. The offense should be catering meals for the defense for taking the heat off of them. Not sure what to say, but on offense, the guard play is back to being as bad as it was last year. We already knew that Bernadeau was terrible, but Leary is only marginally better, if at all. Next year, they will need two new guards.

If there is any solace to be had, the division is absolutely brutal, and still there to be won. However, the way that they played tonight, there are no slam dunk wins on the schedule, even the Oakland game will be a fight.

The bye week is at a good time, but I have a feeling that we won't see Sean Lee until December. May be too late at that point.

Where's the Garrett defenders when you need them? What's the excuse for our Offensive incompetence?

they are stacking good days on top of good days, and something or other. They are collecting their positives, they will be along any minute.

No pass rush, no pass defense.

Sub par offensive line, no passing game.

Best receiver in the league(?) - running poor routes, no consistent threat.

Play calling from junior high school along with a game plan from a prep school.

A man running this team into the ground relying on 30-something players that are falling apart.

49-17 - yep, that seems about right.

"We lost as a team. We lost as a team, man. This loss hurts. This loss hurts. Because I know this team is dedicated. And put in a lot of hard work to get where we are. We didn't execute. And we knew, in order to win this game, we had to put some points on the board and we didn't do that."

Sounds like a recipe for mediocrity.

Jesse Holley says the Cowboys have neutered Romo.

Just heard that too. I agree. Holly was in the huddle with him and he said he's sees a huge change. Interesting and seems 100% true.

Tony needs to figure out that Peyton Manning sits down with the coaches, puts together a game plan, then goes out and does whatever he wants to.

Who said it?
