Petition sent to White House to ban Tony Romo from Spurs game

First of all, I apologize if this was already discussed here or there is a problem with me including the .gov link. I thought this was too comical to not share here. Some people are very delusional and I think this petition borders that mental state of mind.

When I first read the article title on Facebook & saw it originated from Bleacher Report I thought for sure it was a just a spoof. Once I saw the link to the petition and that it actually went to the official White House .gov Petitions site, I figured it was worth sharing.

Facebook Title:

Some San Antonio Spurs fans seem to think the Dallas Cowboys quarterback is bad luck

White House Petition Wants Tony Romo to Stay Away from Spurs Games

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo tends to be a bad luck charm...

BLEACHER REPORT

__________________________________________________ ___________________________________________

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Petition to keep Tony Romo from setting foot into the AT&T Center for any San Antonio Spurs games in the NBA Playoffs.

Tony Romo hasn't been a good luck charm for the Dallas Cowboys. In fact he has been somewhat of a curse in Dallas and for any home sports team he watches from the stands. This is well documented. Just ask Duke, Clippers, Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks even the TNT show Dallas. Here in San Antonio we want our Spurs to win the entire enchilada. Tony Romo will only bring his curse into the AT&T Center and his mojo will make the Spurs lose. In fact we should send him into Russia. That Putin mess would be so over. Please America let's stand together and stop the Tony Romo curse. Go Spurs go!

Further proof that life has a quirky sense of humor... and a knack for bonding defective chromosomes.

Fascinating. As they fell asleep, 136 souls believed they had accomplished something meaningful. Something which would make their lives and other fans' lives richer, more fulfilling. They knew this petition was one giant step towards improving the Spurs in the playoffs.

Even Donald Sterling has more sense than these sobs.

If these people bothered to do their homework they would know that Romo is a Thunder fan. Therefore they would want him to show up to the games.

I don't think it matters...they're (jokingly) claiming that Romo's mere presence in the stands will jinx the home team. Doesn't matter who he's actually rooting for.

It compounds their stupidity If these individuals used a government petition as a joke. I hope not. There's more sense allowing stupidity to create this petition than comprehending that doing so as a joke.

The 21st century. Oy.

The 21st century. Oy.

Some other government petitions from that site:

"Take Andrew Jackson off the $20 bill and replace him with someone who was more committed to liberty and justice for ALL."

"BUILD a military outpost on the MOON!"

"Create a National Steak Day!"

"Apologize for appointing anti-white Justice Sotomayor to the Supreme Court."

"Designate United States of America as "State Sponsor of Terrorism"

And from what I can tell, they're all serious. I think the prospect of a joking petition about Romo is far less scary.

And for the record, I'm all for a National Steak Day lol...

Priceless.

From those stats it looks like Tony wont have to worry about the goal of '100K Signatures' being reached. ;)
