First in regulation with 7 seconds left and a timeout to burn you run the ball keeping the same position for the FG on the left hash while gaining no yardage. A simple 7-10 yard pass would have gotten them to kick a modest 45 yarder instead of one for 53. Then in overtime after the big play by Dez you continue to sit on the ball and settle for a 49 yarder. What a joke. This game easily could have been lost yet again by the Head coach. I was still pissed even after Bailey made the FG because he set his team up for failure twice but got away with the second one.
Garrett still has not learned and I have no faith that he ever will. It is scary and I could almost guarantee that he will still cost us a win or two this season based on his very poor coaching style.

I don't think I can fault the playcall. Yes, it would have been better if Murray had landed inside the hash marks, but I think it was absolutely the right playcall.

Now, I did have a problem with the team going empty backfield on 1st down while trying to run the clock out. That was incredibly foolish.

If you are a good team, you don't sit on the ball like that. You push your will on that team and make them scared of you. He get's so sissifield when we're leading a team. Watch how Seattle does it, they sit on nothing. The continue running, and throwing, not just pure running.

You mean Murray and Romo almost pulling off another classic Cowboy defeat. Murray fumbles inside the 20 and Romo throws a pick in the endzone and then manages yet another delay of gain in a crucial spot somehow after a time out? There is enough talent on the line and on D to get past with a team like Texas. Play this way against Seattle or playoff team and they will lose. Period.

You are right in some ways. But, its up to the players to execute and Bailey had a chance to win it in regulation. But they should never have been in that position. That series right before the 2:00 min warning was pathetic. Its just Red Ball.

You can literally do this kind of thing with any head coach. It's fan nonsense. Running the ball there was the right thing to do.

So you much like Garrett believe that a 50 yard FG is a Gimmie

I am by no means a Garrett fan, but I did not see anything from him today that would warrant a whole lot of complaints. Romo's mini meltdown at the end of regulation was on Romo.

Running the ball was the right call. You run right up the middle and hope for 3-4 yards and a timeout, because it's quick and safe. Cant risk being tackled in bounds and wasting the clock out(Time to drop back, find the reciever and complete the catch can waste 5-7 seconds easily before timeout), or worse a sack. Too risky when your right at your kickers limit anyways. Gotta run the ball. It didnt work, but it wasnt the wrong call.

I'm referring to when we were up 10 we went conservative. Then they come back with 3 points, then 7. They stopped running their base offense and went in to prevent mode.

I agree the only problem I had is that JG should have called a timeout to avoid the delay penalty.

Right call. I wouldn't risk the pass when Bailey has already made 28 or 29 FGs in a row. It was just unfortunate he missed.

Now when we run the ball so much people still wanna complain about Garrett. Enjoy the win

Its not about runnig vs passing. Its about how to coach and close out a game correctly for the situation and Garrett has clearly showed us he has no idea of situation football.

From what I can tell it looks like Bailey prefers to kick from the left hash mark.
