Quote of the Day

Always liked the quote:

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.
Delicious Ambiguity.”

― Gilda Radner

"I believe we are going to have to change our definition of 'Normal'."

~My dad said this, during the time he was battling cancer, in response to my mom saying that she was ready for his cancer to be gone and for things to get back to normal. I always thought it poignant, it struck me in the chest to hear him say this, I have never forgotten it; so simple, yet full of a world of wisdom and pain. I thought it was worth a mention here, as it holds truth and could be applied to many situations, good or bad.

"He who brags has nothing to brag about."
"Tell me who your friends are and I tell you who you are."
My dad use to tell me this all the time. Let other brag about you and be careful who you hang out with.

Your Dad was a wise man, ... did you listen?

Yes I did. He would also tell me not to read your press clippings because while your reading your press clippings someone else is out there working hard to beat you.

Me too. (Dal Vs Jax this weekend in London):
