I think the same thing right now as I did when I first read it. Im tired of this stuff on this team.

and if guilty or if the team thought he might be guilty I would like to see them act before the league and hold him out until it is resolved.

and I find DV to be pretty repulsive.

so if you think that makes me think he was guilty thats fine. IF this happened to Romo or Witten tomorrow I would feel the exact same way, if you don't think they are 100% innocent then hold them out until you know for sure.

For instance I know from watching and listening to Jason Witten when he got here day one how he feels about Domestic Violence, so when we signed hardy and everyone blamed the woman I said...ouch.

or when Spillman was accused of domestic violence and the team did nothing and let him play the whole year alongside witten...I said ouch.

Seriously though, yeah, it does happen.

The closest I came was a girl I was dating who was like 5'2" and weighed about 95 pounds. We were driving in my car and she got upset about me telling her that I was going out with my buddies that night instead of with her. She started kicking the inside of my windshield with both feet hard enough to bust it. She also started screaming at the top of her lungs.

The windows were rolled down and a parked police officer heard her screaming and came up behind us and pulled us over. I was playing junior college football at the time and at 6'0" 200 pounds, was quite a bit bigger than her.

The officer asked her if I had hit her and she hesitated and looked sideways at me (we were standing outside the car by now) and she slowly said, "No" real meekly like she was scared of me, lol.

I said, "You gotta be ****ing me!" I had never touched that girl and she had hit and choked me on a few occasions.

Anyway, the cop let us go but he looked at me like I was a real ****head.

I never have forgotten that and always, it pops into my head when I hear things like this. She wanted to hurt me and I wasn't even breaking up with her... just going out without her. And that was without any $$ involved. Throw that in and it is easy for me to see how rich athletes can get accused falsely.

you do realize you're advocating for "guilty until proven innocent," right? it's extremely difficult, in any case, to 100% prove either way.

Based on the police report, the prosecutor has no credible legal basis to file a criminal complaint (charging document).

The fact that EE was not arrested, witness statements - all of which support EE's statements to the police, in conjunction with denial by EE, & the lack of criminal history by EE, all point to a unsuccessful outcome for the prosecutor and not guilty verdict if the case went to trial.

Prosecutorial discretion would clearly err on the side no to file charges.
Even the most zealous prosecutor would not present this case.

On the other hand, Goodell & his cronies can conduct their own investigation and even suspend a player, notwithstanding the fact that the player has not been charged by the authorities.
One of the outcomes of the Ray Rice fiasco, NFLPA & NFL agreed that the NFL disciplinary policy is not ultimately determined by the lack of official criminal charges being filed.

Even so, with a full NFL investigation, can't see Goodell suspending EE based on the facts (no history of documented violence, etc.).
But if EE interviews with the NFL act contrite, innocent, and regretful that bad publicity/PR has been inflicted upon the NFL (being that the NFL is really concerned about the brand name and the NFL "shield" in the eyes of the public).

NFL does its own investigations. Goodell will ask for the bar the bar fight occurred in, will get security footage from said bar, will interview all the bar employees, etc. If story does not hold water, then what?
