As the leader of an ancient civilization, you must gather the resources you need to raise a military force and dominate your enemies.

You can play as the Romans, Celts, Greeks, Persians and Carthaginians and others. The game is absolutely free and you can play against the AI or even against humans in multiplayer.

Yes, I played the version before this one. It plays exactly like the AOE series. You build up your economy, wood, food, stone, etc build some troops and go kill something. For being free its very polished. And it also has ships, walls , siege equip, etc.

No, on the website linked. https://play0ad.com/download/ If you are interested in Steam tho, or games that are on Steam, AOE 2 remastered is on Steam. Not sure what the price is but the holiday sale is coming soon.

Was close to getting this until I saw it didn't have multiplayer, whats odd is the previous title they did was half the price but had multiplayer. Still might get it on the Steam Christmas sale as its gotten stellar reviews though. You try OAD?

No. but as far as this game the big thing is a whole campaign from either side. The first game was just the battle of Gettysburg so this is great! It is early access so some battles and features are missing. I'm sure multiplayer will be included in the final release.

Yeah I think Darth is going to take this series far. He wants to compete with total war.

Well at least so far in some ways he is doing a better job than Creative Assembly. Their crowning achievment will always be Medieval TW 1, RTW 1 in my eyes. Ive heard the AI is a real challenge in this new title.

I agree man Rome 1 was the best med 2 was second IMO. I think Darth is on to something big.

I just talked to a friend of mine and he told me that Darths next game will be a full total war type map Napoleon era.
