-Entire division getting better.
-Schedule getting more difficult.
-OL/DL room losing considerable depth.
-QB room losing immense wisdom and talent.
-Losing one of the best TE coaches in the league.
-Entire league now has a season full of tape on Dak.

You gotta strike when the iron is hot. It was blazing last year for our Boys - injury-wise, chemistry-wise, super bowl location-wise....you couldn't ask for anything better. The Cowboys were the IT team from Week 1 to Week 17 last year, but somehow, someway we allowed the measly Falcons to take our spot in the Super Bowl.

I know it's been a few months now, but observing the last few days of free agency inaction and the ever-changing landscape of the NFCE just reminds me how unforgivable Garrett's performance was in that playoff game. I'm worried ten years from now we're going to look back on 2016 like we currently do 2007.

When was the last time I read exactly this post? About the difficult schedule, the rest of the division getting better, Dallas losing talent and sitting out FA, how we were doomed in the upcoming season.

Oh that's right, it was last offseason, when I read this post about a thousand times.

I hear you but we wouldve had to do something that's never been done....Win it all with a rookie QB.

Remember, Dak has gotten better each year since Miss St. Add in the fact that the offense will now be more Dak Friendly, and I think he should be even better.

Idk how Dak and Zeke could be much better than they were last year. They could regress yet still have good years, that's how good they were as Rookies.

We spent the last month of the season talking about how Dak would freeze up in the playoffs. He played fine, it was the 10 year trainee that let us down.

How much tape did we have on Aaron Rodgers ? Tom Brady has a lot also etc etc.

What immense wisdom has Romo brought at QB? Not saying he isn't wise, just wondering what is it that was immense.

Yea i dont agree with this either. Romo is great and super wise. But it comes down to dak executing. Romo can tell me every little thing he knows but ultimatley i will stink it up out there...

Every year you make the playoffs and don't win it all is a missed opportunity.

So what. Move on. Get tougher. Get better.

I remember this time last year the Giants and Commanders had gotten much better than us also. Allegedly.

How do you know the schedule is tougher in March?

And LOL @ ruing the lack of new depth on our DL.

I guess it's always a missed chance to some degree.
The Cowboys were not better than either Atlanta or New England.
The only possible true missed opportunity was the chance to advance to the NFC title game....similar to the "fail" we had n 2014.
