I care. I love football. I’m not letting a wrongfully accused 21 year old nitwit make me change that fact.
That "nitwit's" right to due process trumps your professional football enjoyment. Rules matter, the league is a sham when they ignore their own findings.

ESPN started to die when they forgot about sports and got political, is the NFL far behind when they are forgetting about football and getting political.?

That was certainly part of it. It was a bad decision.

I understand how Sports Center became irrelevant with smart phones, and that's not their fault. But they decided to go full MSNBC all day instead of being far more 30 for 30, and it ran people off.

The media and academia has certainly put a big target on sports. Perhaps all those years of getting overlooked by the school football team has built up a lifetime of angst.

You guys are being ridiculous, the demise of the NFL means the demise of American sports. There is no league in this country cabable of replacing it.

America's past time, has been doing ok for a long time. Besides there's always college football with less of the B.S

It’s dry, predictable, sloppy, rigged, uncompetitive, and politically devisive

I also think there is Over saturated and there are too many games.

Take baseball, hockey and basketball.

Baseball 162 games. That worked back in the 1920’s when going to a baseball game or listening on the radio was the only thing to do for entertainment. The only “pasttime”.

Nba and hockey. 82 games.

Way too many. People don’t need to watch a hockey game or basketball game or baseball game on a Tuesday night to pass the time. When there are so many games that early in the season, the game hardly matters. People now have hundreds of cable stafions, Netflix, blu rays, re runs of classic shows, video games, YouTube and the rest of the internet, etc etc. Honestly who wants to watch the marlins play the nationals when u have all those other options?

People don’t NEED sports to stay entertained anymore. Years ago, sports were one of the few entertainment options.

I’ll do what I’ll please. Don’t care if you don’t like it.
Good and I did what I pleased and responded to your bull****. And I don't care whether you like it either. That wasn't my point.

If the NFLPA don't break the NFL down to its very core in the next CBA they be better not to even exist. They can not only use this example of absolute abuse of power by the league office but also the collusion amongst ownership to deny employment for exercising their first amendment rights. They will continue to be treated as fungible commodities until they take a final stand like MLBPA did back in the 1990s.

Thing is, I think some of the owners (including the one for our team) regret the power that was given to the league. It looks good until it comes back to bite you like this.

I don’t care about your point. Get over it. I’m not on here to please you. Block me for all I care. But don’t think I’m going to change my opinion for you. Aight?

That's right, my boy, Stiletto, keep strong in this sad arse thread, man

sometimes teams just rally to a cause especially when everyone is saying basically that "They ARE SCR3WED". People don't like being told that. I remember in high school a neighboring rival was like 6 and 0, we were 2-4 and everyone was saying we'd lose by 30. We won by a TD. There's always a way when there is a will and people being punks.

Their national ratings for a random game on ESPN get ratings akin to PBS. They're putrid.

Local TV contracts do fairly well, but those are just the local teams fan bases. Tiny compared to what a national NFL game's numbers are.

Those contracts with the NBA and MLB are why ESPN has fired half their people.

Just like most NFL regular season games this year outside the Cowboys. MLB/NBA/NHL don't make their money just of TV deals like the NFL. The NFL needs lemmings to follow their league on TV that's why they have to do exclusive deals with DirectTV to try to maximize their revenue.

Don't know how to post the twitter thing but Amy Dash reported this....

Judge says Elliott not harmed by being suspended b/c his achievements depend on Cowboys' offensive performance & his health - not just him
