Obviously Dak has regressed this season.

But the Cowboys are not moving away from him for at least another season.

Given the boost of Elliott in the lineup I expect the offense to look much better.

Aikman with Emmitt didn’t have a ton of TDs throwing either. When u have a top running game, the passing game is secondary. Pass to get a lead and run to keep it. Dak doesn’t need to stat pad as long as running game remains dominant with Zeke.

fwiw...We could say that about most NFL QBs. Most never have a 4 TD game, let alone in their 1st two seasons.

And as we know, some not so great ones (Kellen Moore comes to mind) can have 4 or more and it doesn't really mean much.

This thread is stupid... Dallas runs the ball and Dak will never be a 40 TD QB because he doesnt need to be BUT... you're adding to the stupidity of the thread saying Wentz isnt great. He was going to win MVP not because of a hype train. Its because he played better than any player in the NFL. The kid is a flat out superstar and when Brady, Brees and Rodgers hang it up he will be the face of the NFL. Dont add to the stupidity just because someone started a stupid thread.

He leads the NFL in TD's. He was 12 for 12 on 3rd down. Has zero turn overs in the red zone. He is completing over 50% on 3rd and 10 or longer (Think about that for a second. The league average is 20%). He has some ridiculous 3rd down QBR of like 125 which leads the league. Nummber one in TD throws. #1 in the red zone. #1 on third down conversions. #1 in 4th down conversions. #1 QBR on 3rd down. Thats a little more then "good escapability" bro.

Come on man. Wentz is a flat out superstar and does not have terrible footwork. He is in his 2nd year and had almost ZERO experience in college. He is still growing and 100% does throw the ball high at times and needs to fine tune parts of his game. Even with those flaws he needs to perfect he was going to win MVP. He is an incredible player and a flat out superstar. Dont be ridiculous.

Our pass blocking has regressed. big time. even with a healthy OL.

Our RB has regressed. w/o Zeke

Receivers have regressed.

TE is slower than molasses, relax, I love him, but it's time.

Most of all does the offense remind you of last years, or 2015's offense. As in Linehans base? People say defenses figured out last years offense, bullcrap we just quit running most of the plays. Have you noticed defenses calling out our plays again? Just like 2015? Have you noticed if we throw on first down, on second we're running like 90% of the time, because defenses have noticed it too.

The biggest aid to this offense would be a new OC / play caller.

Nah... Foles had a nice game vs the Giants but had some very poor throws and decisions as well. Hes a good back up but that was vs a team who has quit. He wont have very good games against teams that arent 2-12. The Eagles problem is a darn good D for 10 weeks has looked atrocious over the last 3 games. If the Giants threw for 450 yards and 100% should have won that game if it wasnt for a bunch of miraculous breaks the Eagles will be one and done in the playoffs.

Hey is there a bat signal for birds fans to show up on a Cowboys board to defend Wentz? Wonder why they were not here last year? You know when Wentz was chucking INTs and fumbling? Why not show up them to defend him? Oh right because they are a front runners. Got it.

Philly's issue has been the same all season. A suspect secondary that can get exposed if the DL does not get pressure on the QB.

Thats silly bro. Every Philly fan was absolutely thrilled how he played last year. He had flashes of absolute brilliance last year. We knew he was going to be special. He hardly played in college. Had like 600 throws his entire career. He was beyond raw but we all knew through his struggles as a rookie he was special.
Youre right. Maybe it is pathetic for Eagle fans to come to a Cowboy board to defend Wentz but what is even MORE pathetic is a few Dallas fans saying all Wentz has is good escapability, he is over hyped, and has terrible footwork. The kid is a complete superstar. I know it. You know it. The entire football nation knows it.

The secondary is poor but they played over their heads. It wasnt a problem until 3 weeks ago.
