Lol and so it begins. Everyone gets their hopes up on getting good players before the inevitable nothingness actually happens. Even on his interview on the fan yesterday Jerry mentioned drafting to improve and re-signings to improve. Didn’t say a word about signing FAs

You're kidding yourself if you think we're going to be players in FA. We'll tie up our own to long-term contracts and punt some more money in deferment.

The real story to me this offseason will be if Dez takes a pay cut or the front office decides to eat the dead money.

Might as well dream big.
Dontari Poe - 1-tech
Jimmy Graham - Athleticism
Sammy Watkins - Tall possession WR
Taylor Gabriel or Paul Richardson - Speed

They are not going to be major players in FA. They are going to lock up Martin, lock up or franchise Lawrence and will probably put a 1st or 2nd round RFA tender on Irving. Hitchens will be out of their price range probably.
They will over pay for Martin who is only as good as the weakest link on the O line, especially pass blocking, but let a very good all around LB like Hitchens go. That would be really dumb, but I could see it happening. Garrett is the main problem with this team!! Pass it on.

Hoping to be half the man Tom Landry was.

We don't sign free agents anymore. We will have to build through the draft.

Allen Hurns or Robinson might not get much money since they both are injured. Probably should go after one of them at least.

I know everyone saying LB. I think we should look at Paul Worrilow. He is young, has played a lot of middle LB and could be serviceable in run defense. Also, look into Bowman again.

I personally like WR Javaris Landry....DT Dontari Poe, and S Earl Thomas. I can't see us spending money on all three, but one can dream. a LB could be an option. I would go with in FA whatever is lacking in the draft.

Extending Martin would lower his cap figure. Before they restructure they are looking at $35m in space. The 1st round tender is not all that much and we can eat the franchise tag no problem.

IMO:

WR: Donte Moncrief.
Positives: Size and speed. 6'2, 220lb, ran the forty in 4.40 at the combine. 24 years old. 11ft broad jump!!!
Negatives: Played in 21 out of 32 games the past two years. Production has dropped since his first two years, but lack of Luck could be playing the role in that.
Way I see him was that he was seen as a #1/#2 receiver coming out of the draft. Hasn't exactly lived up to that. Could be a perfect guy to sign to a 1-2 year prove it deal.

I think they will be in on one or two big name free agents this year. Mostly they will try and lock up their own guys but I think the disappointment of this year will open up the pocketbook a little.

zach brown should be our new justin durant

Brown is sooo much better than Durant. He'd actually be a good replacement for Hitchens. Washington has reportedly made resigning him their priority.

My #1 priority would be upgrading DT.

That sucks to hear. I guess we'll have to overpay then. Should have signed him last year.
