I just keep picturing this board, if that was the Cowboys rather than the Saints on the last play.
We have. Just last year in fact. That play was no different than the Rogers play last year at our place. Amazing. I love football.
Yeah what was that moron DB doing? The Miracle Whiff
Pretty bold to pull a Hail Mary against the Saints
Yeah what was that moron DB doing?
I had to come here to post this, it's one of the best tweets I've ever seen. Might even melt the cold black hearts of the most jaded of us posters on this forum: (volume ON)
Going for the big hit.
All he had to do was stand his ground and rap up Diggs. The worst thing he could do was leave his feet unnecessarily, as the last line of defense.
That wasn't a Hail Mary (neither was Pearson's), it was a corner route designed to get him OOB and turned into a fluke TD. Also it was a walk off, whereas Pearson's catch occurred with about 30 seconds left.
Somewhat ironically, the play which coined the phrase "Hail Mary" wasn't a Hail Mary at all. It was a go route against cover 2 man with half a minute left.
He was trying to avoid PI
That's silly if that was his thinking. He didn't have to do anything but stand there and see if Diggs caught it. If he did, wrap him up.
A dumb play and a weak attempt at a tackle cost his team their season.
He was already driving on the ball and couldnt stop, he'd have fallen trying to put the brakes on. He would have been fine had Diggs not had to contort his body to the right and lept for the ball.
Had he gone high he would have driven trough the receiver before the ball got there.
Many, many years later but the Vikes pull it out with their version of the Hail Mary TD made famous by roger S and Drew P. Great that Bud Grant was at the game to see it happen.
Yep just get in his way.Going for the big hit.

Honestly, i felt like this many times as a sports fan.....my teams find a way to put my heart through a meat grinder and find the most gut wrenching ways to lose.I just keep picturing this board, if that was the Cowboys rather than the Saints on the last play.
With all due respect, that's a ridiculous rationalization. Nothing he did on that play would be taught by any credible coach.
BY YE GODS OF OTHER PLANETS!I just keep picturing this board, if that was the Cowboys rather than the Saints on the last play.
Could totally see Jones or Heath missing that badly as well
