Honestly, i felt like this many times as a sports fan.....my teams find a way to put my heart through a meat grinder and find the most gut wrenching ways to lose.
Lmao ,,,yer' equating the rapid& violent splitting & forced reaction of the G D atom to a N F L franchise
gotta SMMFH with all of this,,,in sabbatical mode fer' now is here -by ENGAGED!!! goodbye & more importantly PISS OFF one& ALL,,,o_O

With all due respect, that's a ridiculous rationalization. Nothing he did on that play would be taught by any credible coach. He shouldn't have been "committed" to anything but keeping the receiver in front of him at that point, and tackling him in bounds.
Somebody is getting exposed, not just the DB.

That wasn't a Hail Mary (neither was Pearson's), it was a corner route designed to get him OOB and turned into a fluke TD. Also it was a walk off, whereas Pearson's catch occurred with about 30 seconds left.

Somewhat ironically, the play which coined the phrase "Hail Mary" wasn't a Hail Mary at all. It was a go route against cover 2 man with half a minute left.

Still a miraculous ending to both games

Felt like a very Cowboys way to lose. I have no love for the Saints and yet felt bad for them.

He was trying to avoid PI

Had to go back and see.... even if 43 had the penalty...Vikings are looking @ about a 53 or 54yrd FG. I'm not sure their guy makes it. He whiffed pretty bad before halftime.

It’s 10pm. I just now found out the Vikes won, I stopped watching after the NO touchdown assuming it was all over!

He doesn't know the history. If Staubach wasn't Catholic "Hail Mary" wouldn't even be a football term.

He also thinks it's what we see now - a bunch of guys in the end zone having a jump ball. That play wasn't even legal when Staubach "said a Hail Mary and threw it as far as I could" in 1975.

Just a guy not understanding the game situation who is really bad at tackling. So much dumb.

You need to watch the last 3 minutes then...that was the best part of the game. 4 lead changes. And the most improbably game ending ever...Just off the top of my head..Only the immaculate reception might top this.

Go back and watch that old clip, the defender that fell down for the Vikings was also wearing #43 just like the Saints db Tonight...

What the hell is that dude doing?

He is lowering his head and diving before the receiver even has the ball and he is diving to the side of the receiver anyways:huh:

I have seen kids in pee wee football with better tackling ability than that.............wow:omg:

That dude is going to need a bodyguard 24/7 walking around New Orleans the next couple of months.

Seriously, I think I would just stay home and play PlayStation till training camp. That or grow a beard and wear a hoodie around town, yikes.

Agree this one is right up there with the immaculate reception in terms of probability of a W
