• 12th in the NFL in punt return average

Didn't seem like a great year for returners...and it's much harder to return kicks now compared to in the past...but relatively speaking, he was one of the better return guys out there.

im willing to give him a year or two because i had no faith we were doing anything in 17, so i was ok with playing the rookies.

A regular Devin Hester! This just shows the sad state of NFL ST's since Roger decided to make the kickoffs a non play. Safety concerns of course. Better to turn extra points into 30 yard field goals to make more plays there and add to 2-point conversions. Modern NFL is such a sheet show.

He had some bone head plays but overall he did a nice job

Take out his 83 yard TD return, and he's last in the league of returners with 20+ returns.

Obviously removing your best return does bias things against him, but we're only talking around 30 returns for most of them. Hitting a big return makes a huge different in how your average ranks in the league.

Gotta say, though, that was a sweet return. He deserved that one. It's not like he just ran through a hole in the coverage.
