Are We as Cowboys fans and The Organization ever going to address the TE position?

Witten is an amazing player, but he needs to get off the field and let some of these other guy get snaps. Isn't it amazing how not a single one of these other tight ends that have been in the organization have looked like anything but brick walls aka blockers, who catch a pass once every 3 or 4 games? Once these guys leave, they look solid to great at other organizations like Fasano and Bennett. We don't even know what we have with our current roster of TEs and whether or not we actually need to draft another one because they are rarely ever used for anything but blocking. That's the problem of having a coaching staff that is homeboys with the players. Garrett, Romo and Witten were known to go to events together. You can't tell your homeboy, 'hey man, sit on the bench and let some of these other guys get snaps'.

I think Witten is selfish,i truly do.He is hurting this team and we would improve at TE as long as he is here.
That's what happen when u have Jerry at GM. His love for players and coaches hurt the team.

Way to thank a guy for missing one game his whole career and catching basically everything that comes his way... sheesh. I get that he doesn’t stretch the field and isn’t gronk but he’s doing what tight ends have done for years.

I dont care about feelings I need more than what 82 has been giving us for years

this is a bottom line business so i starting to adapt that mentality do you want to win or your feelings hurt while losing? Nfl releases players everyday Witten can be released too

Awe yea hey Wit you know that offer we got for Rod why dont you go ahead do the same!

Im celebrating when it comes.. because we can actually get better at the posisition

Im just straight forward with it im not sugar coating it.. hey wit love what are and what you are about but on htis football field forget your feelings.

Romo got his spot taken too soooooo Im sorry no sympathy my way!

Thanks Witt!:hammer:

Old man Witten was the #7 Tight End this year in receptions, #10 in TD's, and #12 in yards. It goes to show you that productive tight ends are hard to find. You guys will just get mad when our next tight end fails to be Gronk. You will blame Jerry, Clapper, the player, the scouts, and so on. Truth is that you guys will be sad cry babies when our next tight end even fails to be productive as old man Witten. Your guy's is favorite tight end (martellus bennett) will be out of the league before Witten.

And by position, Dez is no where as comparable as Witten. The old man is making Dez eat dust.

Here we go with the stats what happened in the game? when was those catches made that changed the game to where we won?

I'll wait:popcorn:

......... And didnt mention Gronk at all

Just like that thread that had Alford Morris more elusive than Zeke so trying to insenuate that Alford is better than zeke, Please. . i said ight, you take Alfred and I'll take Zeke and lets see what the end of the Score is? see my logic in that type of stat thinking without the story of how they got those stats and how did it effect the outcome?

In other words I watch the games not stats. tape dont lie

Bennett got a Super Bowl Cuhhhh!!! And he wasnt a scrub on that squad sooooooooooooo

Thats not helping your case

84 catches the ball fine, *7 catches the ball fine and can run after the catch too I wonder

They'll be in pro bowl on another squad in the coming years lololololol

He Gots ta Goooooo man move on an di hope he read this since he coming back

i guess next year those 3 yard bombs gonna be 2 yarders

He catches about 2-3 seam routes per year Terrible

Thanks again Witten! avg 2-3 Td's per year, yea we are set at TE smh

Gavin Escobar. Remember him? Dallas traded up in the 2nd round to get him the same draft where the Chiefs snagged Kelce in the third.

The Cowboys attempted to address the TE position. They just whiffed.

No no no Ive seen plenty of times of our TE's getting open and catching the ball, then we dont see it no more the rest of the season really. but those are positive gains so thet do produce maybe those balls you throw to Witt would go to the other TE's maybe just maybe our wins might be different

no 87 and 84 catches and can run afterwards. just like Bennett, Notre dame TE we traded

There are some success as well as failed as everybody in the league

Plus if Kelce was here we wouldnt know how to use him no way, he'd just been a blocking TE here.

so he went where he was suppose to go

Yep another TE should get us to the playoffs, forget about the super bowl.. We can line them all up to run passes. Witten, Hanna, Swaim, and Jarwin, maybe we can draft another one and put him in the backfield and take that loser Zeke out..

Yes, they will acquire a TE in either FA or the draft. That'll give us 4 TEs. We need to be prepared to replace Witten. He's in the HOF and he's not catching anyone stat wise so it's time or him to ease into coaching or hit the booth in the next year or so.

It’s nice to see the dis-ease settlingn on Witten now. Let’s pretend it’s because of his performance and not because of his age, shall we?

Going to have to wait for Witten to retire...................he aint coming off the field unless he is being carried:laugh:
And that is not likely to happen Witten is not the problem This season the problem had a single digit number on his jersey
