Nasty attitudes aren't hard to replace. Find another with some ball skills. At one time Orlando was our fastest DB. Not any more.

I think the 2 newbies both have ball skills. My prediction is the CB position is going to be a strength. Lewis is a star in waiting. Jones is going to move back to CB to salvage him. He will be better there.

Amazing that anyone is wasting their time thinking about Scandy. He was a nice player at one point, now he's just old and injury prone. Let it go!!!!

Guy gets paid nothing next year and is way better than Nola Carroll who got 3 million. I keep the guy and I'm sure Richard will want him.

The guy still carries some attitude and can still run...with a cheap contract already. One just can't have too many good cornerbacks in the NFL.

I hope he's cut, traded, etc... I don't care about the money, he's just not good enough.

No. He and the FO know that he'll likely not be the starter and both mutually understand that he will not be content to take a backseat. They should fish a 7th rd. pick (or best case 6th) for him and his cheap contract, but knowing the ole' softy GM, they'll release him pre-june 1st. He'll very likely be on the Charger's or Ram's roster in 2018.

I would keep Scandy for 3 Mil. I think the question is why would you let him go for that amount. Even if he isn’t that “veteran player”

Who cares. Goodnight and Goodbye to a player who always talked bigger than he ever came close to delivering.

No, look again...Scandrick has be worth his payroll in the slot and blitzes very well from the edge.

Don't kid oneself...he still has a good set of legs.

he will be a june 1 cut.
I agree. Scandy has been a very serviceable DB for a long time. But he’s too old and too expansive now, and hasn’t played a full season in I can’t remember. His value to the team has passed. Should be a post June 1 cut.

Slot CB is a young man's position...Scandrick is just too old and injury prone now. Maybe he can contribute on special teams

Apparently for some of the 'young' fans, a player reaching 30 should just be taken out and shot. As if the team and a new secondary coach wouldn't have insight after changing the entire look of today's secondary. Just go figure, huh...

Depends on off season acquisitions and what the Cowboys do with Jones. If they add a CB in FA or the draft and they do the right thing and move Jones to CB, there may not be room for OScan's salary.

Awuzie
Benwikere
Brown
Jones
Lewis
White

Benwikere? Really? ST fodder.
And White?
Jones is 1/2 a CB. Will probably be used as S as well.

Being deep at CB is a good thing. A healthy Scandrick is our best slot CB, and maybe still one of the best in the league.

I don't know why people are so eager to cut a guy who may still be our best CB. People get all excited about young guys showing promise, glossing over the rookie mistakes they made.

CBs cost a lot, and they're small and breakable. I wouldn't be in a hurry to dump Scandrick. His contract is a bargain.

Scandrick's contract is relatively cheap, provided that he can still play at a high level which is debatable. He is more physical than Jones would be at corner.

I don't care whether they keep him or not. I'm on the fence about it. If he can't outplay a rookie, then move on and save his salary. But his salary won't be the factor that rushes him out the door.
