Hilarity ensues

"Yesterday, Trevor Davis checked in at the Hawaiian Airlines ticket counter and was asked the usual questions about whether he was carrying any aerosol cans, knives, weapons or explosives," Pedregon said. "Davis turned to his female companion and asked if she remembered to pack the explosives"[snip]

I know, right? They LITERALLY tell you at the airport to NOT do what this guy did. They shouldn't have to, but they do, and he STILL does it.
Because they're millionaires & think they're invincible/better then anyone else. It will catch up to them, it always does. Kaepernick is the perfect example.

Hard to believe some of these so called professional athletes are college graduates.

If it’s like the football players at my university, then they were only there for the football, broads, and pay outs. Never saw one attend any of my classes and the profs would always joke bout it when taking roll. Hell, the woman who tutored me on a massive project was proud to show me the papers she wrote for Ricky Williams.

free speech
Saying "bomb" in an airport is the same as saying "fire" in a crowded theater. Usually when you do this you are not cited for saying something but cited for things like creating a public disturbance, Verbal Threat, or in extremes if things get rally out of hand inciting a riot.

It does from government consequences.

Now if the airline just revoked his ticket and refunded him for it, then fine.
In the world outside the airport yes. Most if not all the airports in the united states are run and owned by the govt whether local or state. and the governing body that controls them, ie security procedures is the FAA. Next time you buy a ticket look at your T&C when you buy that ticket. Just like when you step on military installation COTUS ceases to exist. Following your logic everyone that makes a verbal threat in a joking manner should be given a free pass.

Somebody spent a ton of money getting him an education. It obviously didn't work.
