Witten insulted by Dez' comments?

I agree he was coddled in the NFL and probably college and nfl too.

I wouldn’t call Dez’s upbringing as a child coddled though. That’s for sure.

I thought the same thing. It's probably fair to say he has been coddled as a football player, but to say he has been coddled his whole life isn't exactly a fair statement.

That question was just trying to get a reaction or a article headlining quote. It’s already been reported that Witten and Dez were close. Anyone who has been paying attention to the media for the last few weeks would know the “C” he was really referring to was Dak. People need to stop reading headlines and use some critical thinking for once.

Dez is an emotional player and when a stressful event happens, humans naturally let their emotions come out and get caught up in the moment.

Cooler heads will ultimately prevail, but Dez will someday look back (if he hasn't already) on what he could have done himself to not put himself in this situation.

Maybe someone gave him a hint but he dropped it.

I think Dak has to address the team before the season starts or it’ll be ugly. Put that leadership degree to use because when you come from the background most nfl players do all that political garbage is out the window. Are you going to be straight up or try to be slick? Try to be slick if you want to Dak. I hope that convo he had on the phone with Dez was a good one. I come from the same background as a lot of these players and I’d need to talk to Dez first and then go to Dak and ask what I need to ask. I’m not going all out for a fraud/conniving female as someone put.

Witten and JG were around when T.O. got sent packing. Hmmm!

Garrett wasn't the head coach when TO got sent packing, In any case, Garrett and Witten have been around while a lot of players were sent packing. That happens when you stay with a team long enough.

He was the Co-Head coach IMO.

C=Coaches Garetts guys IE his coaching staff, maybe it was the new coaches came in and offered an outside evaluation and stated it could run smother without dez plus save money and be less of a distraction. I doubt any players had even been consulted and it took this long because Jerry was holding onto it as long as he could and finally gave in...who know and frankly who cares..hes no longer a cowboy..

Yes it was an emotional outburst as was the NFC E comments, he will go to where his best situation to succeed and the best money intersect. GB maybe, my hope is the AFC go to team with an established QB that needs a 1b or 2 for 8mil 1yr show me deal..

Im sorry to see him go but its business decision and its really only year early , he would have been gone next season anyway as will witten i believe..
That was my theory too. I had a suspicion that the c on the shirts was coaches

Publically calling players out is neither the way to win friends, or earn the respect of teammates and coaches. And lets not forget that the mere fact he called people out doesn't mean he was always right.

And what about his refusing to even talk to teammates in Philly? What about calling his QB gay in SF? Is that a guy you really think is doing things in a way that helps the team get better? It's acting out and then pouting at the reaction.

Bottom line is, if he can't find a constructive way to help things improve, and he is creating dissension and turmoil, then he bears blame when things don't work out.
......but a snake ain't necessary also.....if that be the case.

He was the Co-Head coach IMO.

He was in his first year as assistant head coach, and besides, as I mentioned before, a lot of players have been released over the years (and many others not offered a new contract). TO and Dez aren't the only ones.

I can't find anything other than hearsay and unnamed people part of the organization saying things about witten. Those people are snakes in their own right of they can't own up to their comments. All this garbage is just immature highschool drama.

agree....but wouldn't that be for everybody.....Last week and anonymous source was runnin' their mouth.

"... if that be the case". We don't know that it was. In fact, we have no reason to believe that it was.

And even if Garrett talked to Witten or Dak or whoever - which we have no evidence happened - but even if he did, since when is getting the opinion of key employees and co-workers an unheard of thing? Some fans like to think of it as a player slinking around with sinister motives stabbing people in the back, but that's just a silly soap opera viewpoint. Jimmy used to openly admit he talked with key players to get their opinions. I would be shocked if Belichick doesn't consult Brady. When a difficult decision has to be made in business, it's really not outlandish for the decision makers to seek the opinion of key personnel before reaching the decision.

It grinds my gears. I'm an open book. You don't need to read between the lines with me. I can't stand people who gossip under anonymity. Or write loaded statements with ulterior motives. Have something to say? Come out and say it. Why do we have to hear your thoughts through someone else? (When I say you I don't mean YOU. )

Why would anyone want a reason to believe there are sinister clandestine meetings designed to stab people in the back. It's a silly, teenage girl drama viewpoint to begin with, but why would anyone want it to be that way?

Nevertheless, if you can provide evidence, I will be happy to look at it fairly, and consider it's merits.

Not to mention that it's been find over and over again that the media can spin, exaggerate or even fabricate things to hook in their audience, and, unfortunately, there are plenty of people that are more than willing to open their mouths wide and let the media set the hook.

Who do you think leaked the meeting TO had with Garrett?

The only thing I could find online about it was some low end website with an article. No names given. Yeah def sounds legit. An anonymous source could very well be fake.
