Since we're only couple days from the draft, I'm curious if you think the ET trade has legs or Cowboys have likely moved on. Personally, I have no problem with it as long we do not give 2018 1st, 2nd or 3rd round pick. I'd consider a conditional 2018 4th and 2019 conditional 2nd.

I doubt it happens, I personally do not want him. I'd rather trade up for Derwin James.

You'll have to give up our 1st, 2nd, and probably 3rd to get up to take James, who may or may not turn out to be a great safety.

Earl Thomas is great right now. And this team is about right now if they're putting their eggs in Dak's basket.

Apparently Seattle has dropped their price to 2 and 4. Dallas can probably make them bend to just a 2 and I think that’s fair

I’d do that deal if they agree to take any 2nd round pick. I’d then try and trade down a few times in the 2nd, even if I didn’t get value. Trade down in the 2nd, pick up a 4th, and then trade the lower 2nd and 4th you just picked up. There you go, ET only cost #50.

I'd still consider that too high.

What I would ove to see is Dallas gaining a third rounder for a small trade down in round one if there are several players they like still available.

Then you could flip that third rounder to Seattle and essentially get Earl Thomas "for free."

So why do you doubt it happens? Because personally you don't want him!? Or are you a FO insider who just so happen to be on the same forum as fellow fans!?

would depend who is there at 19. if we can drop down and pick up an extra second and get a targeted player still, go for it. if if we have to give up a #2, i'd hold out for a #3 in this draft and let it go if it goes higher than that.

I would rather not burn premium picks on a guy who’s going to cost that much cap space.
If you burn a premium pick, in 5 years hes going to cost that anyways if he turns out to be Earl Thomas.

I would tell Seattle I will give you a 4th this year and a 5th next year. If they say no then we can wait a year and sign him in free agency

They want something earlier than a 4th. And a 5th next year does nothing for them this year. That's a crap deal. Not happening. Dallas will give them a better take or leave deal that won't make fans feel vary good.

well this is at minimum the 6th thread speculating, how about we wait until Thursday night and see? nothings dead not even during Preseason or mid season..all this talk from eople who know nothing about it.. most likely to happen when seatle and Cowboys picks in round one are nearing, if not unlikely..

like ive said 6 other times Draft picks they were asking for too steep, he wants even more money and an extended contract, His age, and as much as he might be good for 2 seasons here, hed be a progress stopper..

if you want a trade for a potential young S than id rather give up my 2 to move up and Grab Fitzpatrick or James..it makes more sense..
