I really think we go defense in round 1

In round 1, Its gonna be BPA with the exception of QB and RB. They won't pick a QB or RB. Otherwise, this pick could be anything. Can't wait to see who jumps us to snag a player.
 
If Ridley is there at #19, put my guarantee down that we draft him, otherwise yeah will be a defensive guy
 
I believe that the pick will be an OL. That's probably where the value will be and we also need it.

I would be fine with it. Would prefer to drop down a few spots for Daniels or Hernandez but I just don’t see a can’t miss talent on defense that will be there at 19. Would much rather go OL this receiver

There isn't a first-round talent in this draft. Ridley is just the most polished of a really good group of 2nd and 3rd round guys, and he's only 6 foot without blazing speed.

Not to mention, the receivers in recent drafts have mostly been busts. The league is growing leery of them.

Nowadays, passing games are about scheming to create space more than one-on-one matchups. The college game is creeping into the pros.

You don't need elite receivers to do that. Just look at New England and Philly.

+1000. I am not a big fan of Ridley or moore in the first round. I rather trade down even if we get less than expected, and pick up Vander Esch or Evans towards the bottom of first round. get an extra 3rd or 4th. and shoot for Sutton, Chark in the 2nd and a DT in the 3rd.

no offensive players in the first. please.
 
My theory is it will be tough to see a BPA at 19 because I don't think any of the WRs are 1s and guys like Vander Esch aren't 1s either. You'd need a slide of someone big. So best case we get a trade down scenario and get the LB or WR. I'd prefer LB. Heck I'd be OK with Oline since we've done well with that late round route before.

Calvin Ridley is 1st Rd worthy.
 
I think we trade down at 19 if we can
But DT and LB are huge needs on defense
We also need a G, S, and WR
Trading down gets you another pick in top 3 rnds to address all those needs

The past three years......busts. Amari Cooper is the best of the bunch, and he's struggling, too.

he's been runnin routes against 1st Rd Corners for 3yrs at bama....its why he is so polished...one of them is minkah fitzpatrick who will likly go top 10.

Don't overrated Alabama defensive backs. Even Clinton-Dix hasn't been that great. Landon Collins has been.

Where's Laquon Treadwell? What about Josh Doctson, Corey Coleman, Will Fuller, Corey Davis, John Ross, Mike Williams, Kevin White, Breshad Perriman, Kelvin Benjamin, Cordarelle Patterson, Justin Blackmon, Kendall Wright, Michael Floyd, AJ Jenkins, Percy Harvin, Hakeem Nicks.......?

Those were all 1st round receivers.

Receivers have a high bust rate. Ridley may be good, but it will probably be years until he is.
