Neither do I. I find it kinda boring. I do watch the Sr Bowl and watch film on the kids talked about the most. I'll have to take our FO word on this one.

Anybody know why his production nose dived off a cliff between his sophomore and junior season.

They changed the scheme so he was 2 gapping and playing run first

2016 when he was a normal 4-3 DE, he had 10 sacks, 3 fumbles, and 20 tackles for loss.

Also, kansas was terrible

A 4.9 defensive end? That's not really aweinspiring stuff. I realize he's not running 40 yards to the QB but this pick is a real head scratcher.

This one sure sounds like we outsmarted ourselves again instead of going for a known quantity. Better players seem to have been available when we picked. Don't like this pick at all. I hope I am wrong. Should have moved up and not takes this guy. Wasted pick.

I disagree. This seems like the Hitchens pick. They believe they are the smartest person in the room on this guy. Like they know something others don't. And they may. But I believe this guy was high on their board and they went with probably the highest guy on their board.

You can take these risk with seven picks. You may hit on a few. The rest spend a year on the practice squad

Sounds like the scheme change screwed his chances at a higher draft grade.

i dont think they consider 1 technique a valid defensive position

agreed. i think we all need to come to terms with this. they want all their DL to be able to rush the passer.

I care much less about 40 as a 4-3 DE than I would if I was drafting him to play 3-4 OLB

Kansas switched schemes and asked him to play a different role, if I recall.
