Not a fan of keeping Ealy over Tapper or Gregory. Would like to see us add a vet safety. Not a fan of TWill or Crawford but they will be here this year and it will be their last. I like Noah Brown and am keeping him over Thompson who's 29. Going one man short on the O-line but a lot of these guys can move around if due to an injury or two. Love our depth throughout our football team except maybe the defensive backfield but there is a lot of flexibility there too. So?

Think we'll need more linebackers than you have here. We had 7 on the original 53 last year, you've got 5. The backups are a key part of special teams, so I don't think they go short there.

Even if Gregory is reinstated, he will probably end up on an exemption list, and they would be fools to go short at the position and rely on him.

I like that WR group, but wonder if they go short there too because of Austin's flexibility.

I hate the depth at DT, which isn't your fault. No idea what to expect from Ward, but sure looks like they plan to make Collins play 1-tech again.

Pretty good imo, but I think Ealy and Thompson make the team. I feel like Thompson is under rated and a better WR than hes given credit for. Plus with Austin and his fumbling issues I see Thompson returning some balls this season.

I doubt he gets reinstated before the season starts. Josh Gordon had to wait if I recall but maybe I’m wrong

Not a comparable situation.

Gordon applied for reinstatement in March of 2017. He was denied in May, two months later. He re-applied and was eventually reinstated in Nov of 2017.

So the only way I think Gregory isn't reinstated by season's start is if he is denied initially by Goodell and they have to appeal.

Based on quick research it seems the league office sorts through these in 7-9 weeks.

RB, I have Bo on the PS for now, until I see him in TC, and how they use Austin at RB / WR plays.
FB, agree, and he can be used on some running plays, and passing plays, this is also why I have Bo to the PS.
WR, Thompson over Wilson, as he goes to the PS

OL, They have kept 8 OL a few times in the past, so I agree with the 8 you have.

DL, If Gregory is back, and Ealy looks good, I have them and remove Tapper and Armstrong, then if Armstrong, he goes to the PS. Also Ealy can play inside as this staff loves that versatility crap. They kept 10 in the past, but last year started with 8. Crawford is more of a DT at that point, so remove Price. This is a tough unit to decide on, for once.
LB, we kept 7 last year, but Hitchens was injured and not on IR, we typically keep 6. That will go to Covington or Johnson
DB, There is a S brought in by DB coach Richard, Jake Thompson, he is in over Kelly. At CB, Duke Thomas or M. White probably makes it in over Ward.

There is none. If you cut the player, any team can claim them with a spot on their 53. Even if a team doesnt claim him, that player can go to a different practice squad if the feeling is mutual from the other team. If the player does make it to your practice squad, he can be poached by a team at any time throughout the season if you dont promote them to the 53 man roster.

He doesn't have to be on the 53 by the start of the season to play this year.

This. There's also no telling what kind of shape he is in, so he might not be able to pass the initial physical and start the season on PUP, and stay there into the season to give the team some time on what to do with him. If he practices once, he is not eligible for PUP.
