Watching the 92/93 highlights ( for 100th times lol ) reminded me how Alvin Harper was probably the most underrated player during our SB run.

Larry Brown came up big in Super Bowl 30 and beat the low life stealers !!!! Thank You Larry :oldcouple:

Yep. I remember.

He had a big game which gave him a big contract. Had no good game before and disapeared right there after.

Anyways. Made 2 big plays for us.

Thanks Larry.

O'Donnell should have been MVP of that game. Those were perfect strikes to Brown.

And well disguised plays to make O’Donnell think a certain type of blitz was coming. It worked, got him and the WR out of sync. Larry Brown was disciplined to stay home, and wait to see what developed. And by that he got the two picks.

But yet people to this day will not give him or the team credit for this. They just as usual take the easy way and blame the other team instead of giving credit.

If it was the other way around our fans would be praising the other teams coaches for out smarting is.

As do all fans of all other teams. And it is a past to be proud of for fans. Other teams should be so lucky.
I am proud of our history and not ashamed to live in the past either.

Just as I live in the past and am proud when my son was born....so are you saying people should not be proud of the past when their children are born? Of course not. So do not begrudge one of living in the past for 5 SB victories.

Well said. Once a team wins a championship, no one can take it away from them. A "living in the past" remark doesn't take away this team's past glory. They said the same thing about Packers fans for years until they won Super Bowl 31.

Sure. I have 2 boys both born around that time. '94 and '96. Better than winning Super Bowls.

Since then, they have both graduated high school. Like winning Super Bowls.
My oldest just got his degree in Finance. He's becoming an investment banker. Like winning a Super Bowl.
My youngest is in the middle of college. More Super Bowls to come.
My wife and I just celebrated 25 years. Another Super Bowl.

So yes, of course I remember and celebrate when my kids were born. But I have hundreds of great memories and Super Bowls since then. And many more coming.

As for the Cowboys, we have the early and mid 90's then...............................nada. Squat. Nothing. Big difference.

So I'm afraid your comparison doesn't work for me.

The Steelers were well able for us in that Superbowl, we just outsmarted them on some of those defensive plays, we could easily have lost that game in comparison to the other superbowl victories we had where we purely outmuscled and dominated those great Buffalo teams.

This team is living on past glory.

all super bowl victories are inherently "past glory"

but to your point, that's all jeri and his spawn are likely to ever have to celebrate but jeri appears quite content to celebrate his stajum in lieu of championships

The great thing about watching those videos is remembering all of the close family members who were still alive back then - parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

But I really don't want to be sitting here 20 years from now, some old dude talking about the good ol' days of 1995.
