RELEASED Cowboys cut Bailey and Keep Maher!

I guess bailey has lingering groin or back issues, otherwise cowboys just looking to save money with maher.
I wondered why maher was being used all during PS, then that 57 yd kick probably got him the job.
The one bad thing about never missing, like bailey did for awhile, when you do miss a few or be normal lol,
it makes you look bad because your expected to be perfect.
Only time will tell if this was a mistake or not.
Bailey was a very good kicker for several years, now lets see what maher does.
I wonder what jg and jones boys will state as the reason for this change.

Gotcha.. was only going by what I saw. Still a shame to lose him. I know it was like a 22 million dollar contract.

Tots surprise cut. This would be a bad choice to haunt us later. Maybe the season on the line. Is Maher gonna be clutch? Nobody knows. 1 little 57 yard FG? Lol.

Yeah I was wondering myself why he hadn’t kicked all PS? I’m guessing he didn’t really heal up as much as I’d thought.

I will say this..Bailey was a great Cowboy. Universally respected around the league. Made us all feel safe when he went out there for so long. Sad.

The one flaw I see in this, is if bailey is ok physically, they could have got a draft pick trading him ??
But this way they just let him go and get nothing.
The writing was on the wall with them looking to replace bailey, but we just didn't believe it.

That’s been my issue with the team,I just posted about it in some thread. I’m guessing his contract was too big,parallel to his health concerns or something. If not? Then Dallas is just being stupid,and throwing away future draft capital.
