Game Day *** Cowboys vs Lions 2nd Half thread***

I gotta say that the play calling has been much better today. They aren’t close to as predictable and actually throwing the ball down the field and that seems to be loosening up the run more.

It's definitely been a well-called game, but the game plan is always going to look better when the QB is on the mark. This is much closer to the Dak we saw in 2016. I don't know if this is a $100 million franchise QB -- but it's certainly a quality guy you can win with.

Cowboys get away with two players in motion. This is a weird *** game. I feel like if we were being aggressive on D and hadn't, dropped passes, we'd be up 40 points.
The called a TO. But anyway, if they both stop before the hike the ball they’re good.

I hate the Romo and Dak comparisons, but no matter the design, I have a hard time believing Romo would settle for that underneath option as frequently as Dak does.

He doesn't have the arm talent to be a gunslinger. But I'd like to see him be a little more ballsy at times.

Dak needs to test the offense, but not go full Romo because that backfires a lot too.

A nice medium between the two would be preferred. Pretty much what Dak has done today. Mostly short but still taking shots down the field.

Key is no turnovers

That’s my understanding too. Here it is frozen. Ball is in the air and Looney is 1 yard downfield.
