Commanders at NYG game thread

I hate myself for saying this because it has been truly agonizing watching the Cowboys since '95. It really has.

But if you believe we are not winning ever again, then why bother on here at all?
Simple.

I want to be proven wrong. I want so desperately for Jerry and his progeny to just prove me wrong. All they got to do is win one, on their own, doing it their way. Do so, I will shut up.

Believe it or not, I have an inner homer too. It just happens to be aligned with the franchise, not with the perverted ownership we have now.

I cruelly am enjoying watching the giants meltdown.

I get that, but in the end we're fans of the team. The worm will turn at some point. It's a different league with a truly rare great team.

And we've had some headscratching things to deal with which have definitely contributed to our mediocrity.

A new HC might be where I'd start to move the needle the other way, because the ownership group isn't changing in our lifetime.

This is true. But, we have a handicap that most teams do not.

Well, that is where you and I differ.

You look at it that the law of averages eventually plays things out, the league is watered down where even the meek eventually inherit the earth

I view it specifically as our ownership group will be the one thing always standing directly in the way because of their vanity and pride.

They will make it extremely challenging. No doubt about it.

Again, anyone wanting to jump ship is free to do so. For me, I'm too vested to not remember the great moments the Cowboys have given me. Win or lose: no better value in sports entertainment.

I never viewed a team like pro wrestling, but now you put it that way, I guess I understand.

This is all part of a WWE script. It all makes perfect sense now.

Well as we thought nyg wont help us, they didnt even make it interestiing .
They might as well fire shurmur now.

about dallas, I can enjoy watching them lose as well as win.
They do get me now and then though, like after the 1st nyg game and jags game I thought maybe they had come to their senses.
but then the next week is was back to the same ol crap.

Can't disagree regarding the defense. But, you have to score points to beat those teams. Not gonna stop them every trip.
We can score points, we aren't high flying offense like KC or the Rams but we can be competitive by keeping the score low. Offense with Cooper can average 24 points a game. Defense allows 20 or less. You don't have to score 30 plus points to beat these teams.

If OBJ can't open up the gnats running game how is Amari gonna open up ours?

he may not open up our running game.
our run game has more issues than not being good at passing.

I dont give 2 birds about your opinion of my opinion of some other pathetic team's fanbase. We have our own issues to deal with but noone expressed more loudly than the Giants or Talking Heads that Saquon was the savior.

Romo hasn't played in 2 years and his body was done. If fans thought he was unretiring, that was a pipe dream. I was not one of those people that ever saw that as a possibility.
Well how many birds do you give Mr Personality? Why are you complaining about another teams fanbase if you’re so concerned with our own issues?

it is possible, but I need to see it in next 3 games to believe it.

I'll need to see how they look with Cooper coming out of the bye week before I assume they can average 24pts/game the rest of the way. Because the 1st seven games outside of the Jags scoring outburst (some may call it an outlier), they only broke 24 against Detriot.

I'll wait and see Irv.

giant have had and still have lame HC just like we do, so no RB is going to help them anymore than elliot has helped us this year.

If Jerry fired every coach tomorrow and used his family to do all the coaching, and if he called every play the rest of the season, we would still finish ahead of the Giants in the NFC East standings. Think about it. The NY Football Giants truly suck!

We might win if he did that

The biggest problem with the running game is the fact that nobody respects the passing game due to the backup QB under center...
