Cassel did start. until he couldn't any more. and he was on the couch in his house and unsigned 4 games into the season...his goose was cooked...Weeden was a bust obviously, everyone knows that. Foles was a part time starter in Philly, KC, St Louis in his last three years. there is absolutely no comparison of Weeden and Cassel to Foles. not even close. not the same zip code, city or state.

Daks' passing numbers are less than wentz. in 2016 he was 19th in passing. Wentz was 18th. in 2017 Dak was 25 yards more than Wentz, with three more games. This year Wentz is still better. Dak passes less and is safer with his throws. Dak is a safe bus driver. Wentz is center of Philly offense. Zeke is center of dallas offense, no denying that. everyone knows that even you. They are still better than cowboys offensively and they are down to their 4th string RB....

Wentz has higher passing numbers because he is a better passer and trusted more to make passing plays. Dak is asked not to make mistakes, make occasional plays. He has already cost dallas two games in Titans and @Commanders

Eagles are now 5-6 and we are 6-5. We play the saints and they play a now depleted Commanders.
Hahahaha wait... 19th and 18th in WHAT in 2016???

Certainly not passer rating or anything even closely resembling an efficiency statistic. Did Carson pile up more yards and attempts with his 7-9 record or something? And that’s what you’re going with? LOLLLL

its simple son, who did Wentz have on the team his first year? who did Dak have? how did they each do as a passer in their first year?

Last year Wentz was leading one of the better more potent offenses in the league with those weapons until he got injured.....the team wsa 10-2 at the time....philadeplphia was 7th offensively, and 13th passing, that's after they went 237 ,163 , 134 passing in their last 3 games. Prior to his injury the eagles were top 5 offensively.

and again, like you said excuses...so lets take Zeke out of the cowboys offense. what happens then? I think you already know the result of that....btw, the eagles lost Peters last year and Wentz was still able to perform. They also lost a guard in the middle of the season.....

I know you are not trying to make this moronic argument when the Eagles WITHOUT Wentz just won the damn Superbowl. Please tell me you are not this dense.

Yea. It’s moronic alright

And further, Dak, at least statistically, had his best game of the season without Zeke. Just all around an ill-informed, ****** post.

Spot on 7up. Stupidity and ignorance should be banned in this forum. Would make intelligent football debates much easier to partake in.

There's no mixing, you used that throw to claim Dak's inaccuracy, when the throw was deadly accutate. No you're trying to play Coy.
Now you're just flat out making crap up. I never said anything even remotely negative about that throw. Just stop.

Name a quarterback who completely carries his team.

now you are adding adjectives....completely carry? what's that supposed to mean..... Brees is the center of Saints offense. Brady is center of Patriots offense. Rodgers, Rothlisberger, etc.

Dak is not the focal point or center of Dallas offense. Zeke is. and what's wrong with that? why are you being defensive?

Lol, the proof is in the post backtracker...lol you immediately talk about Cooper stop and juking, that is the only route he did that on. Stop backtracking and own it.

so you think Dak is better than wentz? perhaps you think he is a GOAT..... your man crush is embarrassing.

btw, passer rating on a play it safe QB.... not surprised. its painfully obvious this team doesn't rely on Dak....obvious to all except a few who have this heavy man crush on him

Higher completion %, higher yards/attempt, better TD/INT ratio.

Hmm.

when? one game does not a career make....that's the Dak lovers approach. He made one great pass....he has the potential to be great. he made one great play and had one great game,, he is only in his third year....

so do you think if you talked to 32 GMs in the league they would take Dak over Wentz? Talk to 32 head coaches, lets see what they say.... only a few fanatic Dak lovers on this board vehemently defend him.... I guess he is already a GOAT of third year players who ever played in the NFL..... WOW. just WOW

Let us not kid ourselves - Dak is below the median level among QB starters in just about any meaningful passing stat category. No, Dak is not an offensive asset and the captain's 'C' on his jersey is not via merit - to this point it is a charade.

Wentz was a #2 overall pick and had his 1 outstanding season (2017) more recently than Dak’s (2016).

So no, most GMs would take Wentz. High draft picks always get a ton of leeway. And I don’t necessarily disagree at this point either.

BUT Dak has outplayed Wentz overall thus far, and I believe he does have a solid chance at having the better career. We’ll see.

Who cares about a quarterback being the focal point? I wouldn’t care if it’s a RB, a TE, WR, the defense or the coach himself. As long as we’re winning championships. Emmitt was our focal point and we won 3 out of 4 super bowl games and were close to winning 4 in a row. So again Genius. Please tell me a quarterback who successfully carried his team without help from the other 52 players.

Listen....let's not mistake talent for fundamentals. He without question has the talent. But his mechanics and skills need to be sharpen.

He has some talent. He lacks others. It's those that he lacks that will limit him his entire career, and why he should be a backup somewhere (I'd be happy if that were here assuming the contract was representative of a backup). That's a separate issue from mechanics and some other skills that he can develop and improve on.
