Wow......solid stat on just good this D is. Please take note of couple high power offenses hanging around the BOTTOM of the list.

Fewest rushes=15+ yards and receptions 20+ yards
Otherwords, we don't give up cheap yards

May surprise a few fans to see the Rams and Chiefs near the bottom but shouldn't.

Heard/read Belichick say only two defensive stats he cared about.....scoring and turnovers. As he put it, if you can hold opponents scoring to a min ( especially TDs), you'll win a lot of games.
Not exactly a revelation, but then Bill's never been very quotable.

Could this be a product of teams not trying for the long explosive pass play? It would make sense for why our INT #'s are down.

But limiting big runs and YAC are huge!!!

Actually I'm not surprised for a different reason. Since those offenses are so explosive on their own and have the ability to score quickly, opposing offenses get more possessions of their own. The more possessions you have the greater the chance you'll come up with an explosive play of your own. Dallas is a ground and pound, chew up the clock offense so opposing offenses probably have fewer possessions than opponents of the Rams and Chiefs. Maybe an explosive play rate might be a good stat to look at to see where teams fall on either end.
