Linehan’s stupidity continues to show: Elliott hasn’t scored a rushing touchdown in 4 games

The run blocking has been atrocious inside the 5. That's part of it.

But hey, teh Linehan is a cool system restore for fans.

Zeke is allergic to the end zone. Get him some Claritin for the playoffs.

The Oline is the major crux of the problems but Linnehan pretends there is nothing wrong with it in his play-calling. He doesn't do things to compensate for the weaknesses. That's an issue to me. It's obvious the line isn't the same but you cannot do things like you have the same line in 2016 when you don't. The obvious is Linnehan not doing much to adjust to the real issue.

Yep, he needs to go.

That would be ignoring prior history. Linehan is notorious for going passpasspass.
Yes.

But you have to work with what the defense is doing.

Inside the RZ the TE, the back corner fade is not being covered.

They do not have enough in the secondary to cover.

Gallop showed us that last week.

So did Schultz.

With our redzone issues, you would assume we would try and give it to our best player. Instead, we continue to pass on the 5 yard line or try and do these ridiculous trick plays that aren’t fooling anyone

I guess you missed Elliott getting tackled for no gain and for loss yardage in the redzone. I guess you miss the Oline struggles whether it's being blown off the ball or getting called for penalties in the redzone.

Your right running that Jet sweep with Cooper against the Bucs was a brilliant move to offset that blocking

And the jump ball thrown to Noah Brown instead of Cooper or Gallup(which they eventually did on 2nd down) are some plays that strike me as throw away plays

This past game Dallas converted 2 out of 3, the Dak run off the fake to Zeke and the throw to Gallup. Granted 1 game is not a cure for the redzone offense and I do think we tend to get away from the strength which is Zeke.

Exactly, and if Linehan did give the ball to Zeke every time he would be criticized for being predictable. He has to mix things up, like the pass to Olawale that was the right play call, but the FB dropped a ball that hit his hands.

Not to mention taking Amari out of the game plan every game since his 200+ yard game.....and our HC just lets it go......they're both equally incompetent at their jobs.

I know its easy and fun to take the normal shots at Linehan (who i wanted gone 2 years ago).
But unless its within 1-2 yards i don't know that the interior of our O line is going to move anyone.

Our redzone offense problems are terrible. But i dont think its as simple as just handing the ball to Zeke.
But people were ready to crown Colombo the new Callahan after 1 game:laugh:

do you have a break down of plays from within the 5? Down and distance? Rushing attempts and which down? We have ran many, many times, and the defense has just flat sold out and stacked the line... so yeah, run it baby, right into 10 defenders because they would WAY MORE see Dak trying to make decisions in the red zone. Look at our qb for our red zone woes, not the coaches.

agreed the cuteness has to stop inside the 5, 1st down throw maybe every now and then as they can fake it to zeke but after that, 3 runs straight towards the line no misdirection with zeke..its the sole reason SL should be fired gurley is scoring TDs at will , we try and get cute ..so sick of it..
it was the cuteness that had us an easy wide open TD to the fullback, but he was so wide open that dak threw a 2 mph lolipop that was dropped because the player almost fell over waiting for the ball to arrive. Stop just looking at coaches.

thats the up and down of the CUTE play..great when it works highly question the stupidity when it doesn't..I didnt like the throw to gallup either, it worked but they started at the 3..you do regular runs not the misdirection odd play to Amari or the throw to gallup..heck three different types of power formation to zeke is much better, it what the Op had in mind when he started this...te point is use your best player on the moments when you most need him.. Sl does not..remember Irvin to the 3, Smith for the TD..it worked more then it didnt..

Not sure if you watch the games at all but Zeke has been struggling in short yardage situations esp in the red zone. While defenses are stacking the box they are leaving receivers 1 on 1 and we don't have a QB with the ability to make them pay enough to change it. Dak's not the only issue, missed blocking assignments and overall bad execution along the OL have helped stall drives near the 1 yard line.

At least once, I would love to see the I formation inside the 5, goal to goal. Nope, all we see, is mostly running from shotgun, which involves long developing, reach block, plays.
.
Been saying it for a while. Run a dive or QB sneak. Quick hitting run play.

just 1 example of a really good call that should have worked.

Dak is running it in in short yardage situations, to give his sniffers ammo.

"Yeah, he doesn't have many passing TD's, but you can't just ignore all his rushing TD's....."

Many, if not all, of those happen because the defense is keying on Zeke.

Everyone watching TV and in the Stadium. "They're in the redzone now, they should feed ZEKE."

Linehan "I'm going to call every play in the playbook, except for the ones where Zeke gets the ball!"

1st and goal my plan calls for giving the ball to Zeke three times and Dak once.

Some parts of the game don't need to be creative or complex. I can't see any scenario where Zeke and Dak is stopped four consecutive times.

Take the ball and ram it forward. If Martin is in then run it right behind him or what about Zeke's fancy hurdling?

Shoot, put another O-lineman in there instead of a TE.

Zeke is one of the best power backs in the league, Dak is probably the sturdiest built QB, quit screwing around, attack the defense instead of waiting to be attacked.

It is insane to see a back like Zeke with a paltry 6 TD's, he should be leading the league in rushing TD's with Emmitt-like numbers.

I guess some have gotten tired of bashing Dak or Garrett. Now the bashing continues with Linehan. He deserves it but come on man, and you think of something positive to post?
