Same reason as the catch-no catch. To a penalty for to many in the huddle when there wasn’t and that call hasn’t been made in years. But they pull it on us. Now the lowering the helmet on Elliot. Our long snapper moving the ball phantom call. Now the in the grasp call? Really.

It was an awful call in a game full of bad calls, mostly against us. It was a game that still could have been won despite the bad calls, missed throws, lackluster running game and our defensive bowling pins.

WHY are the cowboys penalized for jaywalking.. from the Zeke crown hit to this ancient rule

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/01/nfl-players-react-in-the-grasp-cowboys-call

Even though in the grasp was the wrong call, they could have easily called the penalty on Lael Collins that is mentioned in this article. He had grabbed Dak to pull him away from the pressure. Of course, that penalty also is rarely called, so I'm sure fans would not have been happy about that.

Not saying I'm happy with either call, but the illegal hands to the face was a legitimate call and the flag on Collins would have been, too. In the grasp was not, though.

This was a terrible call. Even if Collins gets called for holding up Dak, its 10 yards but they get the down over again. And btw, I have seen this with RBs and QB many times and it doesn't get called. With the down over, anything could happen. The point is, it was definitely not in the grasp. The penalty on Byron Jones was BS too.

The Cowboys lost because they could not stop the run. Its unfortunate that the refs had to make these mistakes.

both teams had 4 penalties called against them. Collins may have saved Dak from a bluegrass facial.

They hit Dak in the head on the play so that was a penalty on the Ram, and the hands to the face was ****. He jammed the receiver and his hand rode up his body during the play. He didn't go for his face and it had no bearing on the play 50 yards away.

thats LC best block ever, Dak was moving the entire time never stopped no grasp and the olinmen is supposed to protect the qb isn't he..? more bad calls, id argue the 2 non holding calls on the rams last td were worse, they were blatant and obvious, should have been called..they call stuff on us that arent valid but no calls on valid stuff..

I wonder how many other scarcely used rules are out there I have never heard of.

Yes, he may have. But he's escaped a direct hit by Donald before. Since they blew the early whistle we'll never know what would have happened. The non-calls by the officials were bad too.

Well at least it wasn’t that huddle infraction

And this call doesn’t bother me half as much as giving up 6 million yards rushing

We didn’t lose because of officiating. We got dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Let’s not be whiny fans. The Rams earned their victory.

Right! So sick of the ref stuff. It’s like a Jerry mentality of excuses has taken over fans

The receiver pushed Jones hands across his face mask. Was a terrible call, especially on 3rd and long to give the Rams an automatic first down which they got a TD a couple plays later. That TD was the difference in the game
