Not sure many know but he was originally drafted by 1991

Bill Musgrave - C - Free Agent
Broncos fired OC Bill Musgrave.

Musgrave was never going to stick around under a new head coach, and now it is official. Assuming he wants to coach in 2019, Musgrave should be able to find a home as a quarterbacks coach.

He might be an upgrade. The Raiders' offense haven't been the same since he left and he was there while Cooper was playing great.

oh GAWD..glad we haven't looked at him. Hes just like Wade Wilson I fear. The guy we want is still in the post season and is top notch. Jerry is aiming for a home run.
ROFL.. RAY, RAY come on man, how long you been a fan? Can't you see this is another of Jerruhs Lucy pulling the football back on Charlie Brown moves!!! Wouldn't surprise me to see the guy get a 5 yr contract with us!

I actually like Musgrave as an OC. I’m a little bias since I played on one of his teams though.

Like Wade Wilson in what way? I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying I don't know what the similarities are.

Musgrave would be an upgrade over Kellen Moore...... but then so would my Labrador Retriever........:)

I'm always curious how people judge a QB coach. In Moore's case, the QB was better this season than he was under a different QB coach last season, and the QB improved over the course of the season with Moore as the QB coach. Maybe the improvement had a lot to do with Moore, and maybe it had very little to do with Moore, or maybe it was just incidental to Dak gaining more experience, but either way, how would a fan know?

And maybe Moore is less ;)

a clipboard holder . Little results.

Romo had a lot of good passing years with Wade Wilson as the QB coach. With Musgrave as QB coach, Steve Buerlein had the only two big seasons of his career at ages 34 and 35, Matt Ryan got his first 3 years of development in the NFL, Derek Carr had his 2 best seasons and hasn't been as good since, and the Eagles had the 6th most passing yardage in the NFL in 2014, and that was with Mark Sanchez and Nick Foles sharing the QB position. I'm not going to hold the last 2 years against him with Trevor Seimian and Case Keenum at QB.

I'm not saying we should go after Musgrave or not, but I really don't know the criteria people use for judging a QB coach. Does a QB coach have to have a Brady or Brees type player to be considered a good coach? How do we know if a QB coach is doing a good job or not?
