Report: Raiders are shopping Carr

I'd bring him in for late draft pick and a much smaller contract. Pay Dak $25+ mil or Carr $10 mil? Assuming we can even get a lower contract from him that is.

He has a contract, why would he renegotiate to less than half of what his current deal pays him. There’s a lack of quality QBs in the league and someone would easily take him at his cost.

Don't kill the messenger here but I don't believe this for a second. Gruden preference has always been seasoned vet QBs.

Report: Raiders are shopping Derek Carr

Well, now the offseason is getting interesting.

Master Tesfatsion of Bleacher Report reports that the Raiders were shopping quarterback Derek Carr at the Scouting Combine.

While few players are unshoppable (Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, Aaron Donald, maybe Deshaun Watson), it’s not currently believed that the Raiders have serious interest in trading Carr.
I'd take Carr over Dak every day of the week!

That,,,&,,, trade Rush or White,,,er,,,or both for
him, the best thing that could happen for Dak's career would be a'lil "sideline seasoning", Carr could definitely tune him up in teaching him the finer arts of decisiveness, quick triggering his shots & progressing thru his receiver reads(at least processing past the first two anyway)

Derek Carr vs Dakota Prescott

Carr
5 seasons played

10.7 yards per completion

:The next stats are per season:
3,747 Passing Yards
24.4 Pass Td
10.8 InT

Dakota Prescott

And one of them actually got cooper excited to play football and has accomplished anything at all in the postseason.

Exactly. Carr almost ruined Coopers career...

But dak is innacurate!
*completes more passes
But the fumbles!
*fumbles less
Dink and Dunk!
*more yards per attempt and completion

Remember the reports about raiders players losing respect for Carr after he was seen crying after a sack on the ground?

Now look at what daks teammates have to say about him.

And you are forgetting one thing: Carr play for Oakland, the blackhole of the NFL. And perhaps its not Dak getting Cooper excited to play football, of which you offer little supporting evidence of, but perhaps cooper is feeling new life being out of the black hole. Would Carr?

His play is evidence enough.
But here’s Amari on the subject.

“When I got to the Cowboys, it just worked out perfectly,” Cooper told NESN. “It seemed like it was God-ordained or something like that. Actually, I know it was God-ordained. Me and Dak were just on the same page as soon as I got there. Chemistry-wise, we kind of knew what each other liked already.”

"I just always felt like I wasn't really being used how I felt like I would have used me if I was the coach. So I looked at it from that perspective, not from the perspective that, 'Oh, they don't think I'm good enough' or I'm not good enough.

"I never had those questions in my mind. At all."

As a result, he says he's a changed person and player.

"Just reflecting on my last four games here and my personality here, I feel like it did change me, as far as having that chip on my shoulder," Cooper said. "Not that I wasn't passionate before, but playing with more passion, trying to intentionally have fun out there. It definitely has changed me, in terms of me going out there and just having fun with it. “

I guess you have no notion of generic team talk that just about every player spins to the media. I mean, that's the kind of talk you expect from just about any player who isn't a locker room cancer that joins a new team. yup proves it alright...

Don't kill the messenger here but I don't believe this for a second. Gruden preference has always been seasoned vet QBs.

Yeah, I didn't need to see the stats...Carr isn't very good and he's fragile. Dak is solid, not spectacular and not fragile.
