It has been so long now I can only conclude that this team is just allergic to winning titles. They probably carry around Epi pens when they make the playoffs just in case the unthinkable happens.

If the front office are not putting everything in to it, it is hard to expect the coaching staff or players to do so.

And it isn't going to change.

I wouldn’t have paid him the money he wanted either.
I wouldn’t either but it’s the fact they sat here and let this market dry up knowing he wanted to get one last pay day. How did these idiots think they were going to trade a second round pick for him and try to keep him?

Yeah he was too expensive. All these moves this year are all cash grabs. No real contenders making moves.

How we end up not getting this guy is absolutely flabbergasting. We wanted to trade for him, he wanted to be here, we don't get him.

Sorry, this is not looking good so far and I am as polyanna as it gets.

$22MM in the first nine months is actually a smart move. The Ravens have now limited their potential dead money downside if Thomas' career starts to crater soon.

In other words, if they get two productive years out of him, they likely don't have much cap problems in future years if they want to dump him.
