Don't know if this has already been posted.......

The AAF's first championship game will no longer be held in Las Vegas on April 27, as originally planned. Instead, the game will now be played in the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas -- a 12,000 seat facility owned and operated by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

"The Alliance has built a foundation of high-quality football, revolutionary technology and world-class partnerships with the NFL, CBS and Turner Sports," said Jones in a statement. "It was only natural that we at the Cowboys organization would want to join that great group of partners. I have always believed that our great game of football could use a league to give players the shot they needed to make it to the NFL, and Bill Polian, Tom Dundon and Charlie Ebersol, have done just that. We are proud to be able to host their inaugural Championship Game."

The San Antonio Commanders have been drawing big crowds, over 30k in their last game and they're 1st in the West.

Before someone mocks Jerry about the Cowboys' playoff and Super Bowl futility since 1995......

.....this is a good thing. Hosting it at the Star is good for all parties involved.

How does it help the Cowboys win a title? It doesn't. It's irrelevant in that regard. It's good for Jerry's wallet, which seems to mean something to some people.

Can't wait for the next Forbes article proclaiming the Cowboys as the richest team in sports. We're #1!

Yeah you know you gonna be lowkey cocky about that

Do you move the goal post often when in debate? That doesn't win the argument, it just makes you look crabby and mean. Obviously the top priority is for the Cowboys to win a title. But this isn't about that so why confuse the two? Not everything is about winning a title. Some things stand on their own as good deeds. Stop being so critical and understand if it's good for Jerry's wallet, it's good for thousands of wallets in North Texas. Anything that brings in out of state dollars should be welcomed.

Aside from Jerry's bank account, I'm curious to hear who this is good for. This is all about income, and we all know it.

Say what you will about Jerry that’s a business man and a darn successful one right there

So he gets a pass for ruining our favorite sports franchise with his greed because he's a good / successful business man?

Screw that......

The financial benefits to North Texas from this event raises all boats there, not just Jerry's. Stop the false narrative that every penny from this goes directly into to Jerry's wallet.

Like improving the economy of North Texas is such a terrible thing. Not all things Jerry does is about the Cowboys so just stop your belly aching.

How is this financially beneficial to north Texas? In what way? Will it influence OPEC to stop gouging consumers? Will Walmart lower their prices because Jerry knows how to make a buck? Will Jerry's fat wallet somehow make me wealthier? Oh, its the jobs this game creates. Wait - that will be staffed by employees already on the payroll.

Be sure to let know when some of Jerry's profits start trickling down into the wallets of peons like us. Jerry is worth 7 billion. Imagine if one half of one percent out of his wallet made it to your account. Thats 3.5 million Jerry wouldn't even blink an eye at. Pennies in a piggie bank. Let me know when that cash is headed my way.

Jerry isn't doing a damn thing for North Texas or its economy, he's only increasing his net worth. Defend him all you want, but he isn't doing anything beneficial for me or my family, and certainly isn't doing anything for you.

Too bad this guy is dead. He could be used to go after a few more deadly sinners.........

You sound like an economic idiot. Every person going to this event spends money on transportation getting there, benefitting the economy. Every person going to this event spends money on food getting there, benefitting the economy. Every person going to this event spends money on souvenirs getting there, benefitting the economy. People go sight seeing and shopping, benefitting the economy. Are you really that ignorant of basic economics? It sounds like nickels and dimes but it's compounded by the numbers going to the event that translates to millions of dollars.

in before "should have put that time and effort into free agency....."

His team can't get one so he will just import one.
