Just me, but I don't see him having trouble finding a team. Hell, I think he would probably be at least 3rd best on any of the teams in our division.

He might well find a job, but it won't pay anywhere close to what he was due to make. I have to wonder what the Cowboys offered in a paycut? Either way, I'm glad that the team made the tough decision.

Most of us saw this coming from miles away.
However, there was a kid on here claiming Hurns was
better than Cobb and Cobb was not a lock for the 53.

Now I'm curious to know who it was?

Hate it for Allen. I think he is good if he is your #4 WR but not for the money Dallas was paying him. It is a business and they really need that money. Also tells me that they must be impressed with the young WRs they have.

Hurns' release confirms that this front office is bankrupt when it comes to strategy.

I mean this is a part of the NFL. But then fans wonder why guys like Zeke are holding out.

Lets look at production levels between Hurns and Elliott and then tell me Elliott is worried the same thing will happen to him. Second, there has been ZERO, NADA, ZIP actual quotes from Elliott that he's planning to hold out. It's all been speculation by "insiders" who get as many things at least partially wrong as they get things right and have perpetuated this for clicks on their articles.

He signed a two year contract. He got hurt. He got screwed over by a crappy offense. Yet, he’s the one who has to pay. I get it. It’s business. And I don’t care if it’s true or not that Zeke is holding out. You think Zeke doesn’t understand that he’s being ran into the ground on his rookie deal? You think he doesn’t want a deal down now? Zeke knows he could potentially be Hurns in 4 or 5 years.

Maybe to get him competing for a roster spot on your terms rather than risking him getting injured and being stuck paying him?

If it was "a lock" he was making the team, he wouldn't be cut today.

Bingo. I read the cowboys offered him a payout to stay but he preferred to test the market.........which I read as "wants to go to a team with a QB that can get him the ball".

Who said it was a lock? He’s not who I’d consider a lock by any means. Cooper and Gallup the only locks I see at receiver.
