Didn't Jerry get fined a few Million because he went hard at blocking Goodells contract after what he did to Zeke? I think so and this is how Zeke repays him... I agree Zeke's image was tarnished because of Goidell but Jerry and Co. Went above and beyond to help him. The car accident, pulling down top and security guard issues was Zeke's fault and he hurt himself there yet Jerry still stood with him and Zeke pulled this stunt, I have no more patience with the clown

There's the truth of it.

Goodell was the guy who did wrong by Elliott. But had the ammo because Elliott himself made poor decisions. And Jerry Jones was the guy that stood by him, and was fined two million in the process. But Zeke can't do a thing to Goodell so he tries to strong arm the man that did support him. Some great loyalty there, huh?

But Zeke should thank Goodell for one thing, not suspending him again when he easily could have. Thank goodness for the new lax behavioral policy.

They have the money to pay him. Also Dak and Cooper. And it is merely business. What they make is their business. If this was such a tragedy, then Jerry would stand firm. But he will end up negotiating Zeke's contract and things will go back to normal.

I fail to see how any of this is so urgent is makes people despise a guy trying to get paid.

Plus, the league screwed Zeke. If not for the bogus six game suspension when even the lead investigator for the NFL said there wasn't anything there/ Sje was the only one who spoke with the woman and thought that lady lied.

So now Zeke is painted with the domestic violence brush, because that dirty coward Goodell was afraid of the backlash that might happen if he actually did not suspend Zeke. Because Goodell tried to get around the Ray Rice issue, and then lied about having the video in time to make a judgment.

So now Zeke cannot do commercials and other ancillary perks outside of football to make money. This was injustice. Jerry stood up for him, but Jerry isn't coming out of his pocket to make this fair for Zeke/ Goodell did this.

Now factor in the four year contract and the fifth year option. Then Jerry decides to franchise him twice and then let him go. Zeke will lose about 15 to 20 million on that deal.

All the people who tell me they wouldn't fight for that kind of money are just kidding the, selves.

It's turdish to holdout with 2 years remaining under contract.

It's even more turdish considering he has already been paid over 20M while Dak has been paid 2M.

Add in that he can't even stay out of trouble this off-season and the timing of the holdout just looks absurd.

IMO I think the Jones gang and his agent still would of been sending contracts back and forth even if Zeke reported.

I get the business side of the NFL, but I agree it's not a good look for Zeke. Can always negotiate a deal while being in camp.

Yep.

The two guys who are actually up for contracts next year are here practicing. One of whom is as grossly underpaid as any single player in the league. But he's here.

He is the one doing it. You should at least play this 4th year of the contract you signed. I never thought the FO would expect him to play the 5th year. This is why they started negotiations now.

I know that gordon isn’t as good as gurly and Elliot but wait till you see what he signs for.

If SJ said he would pay him gurly money then ask for 1 dollar more and more signing bonus. I think gurly got 45 guaranteed. That’s huge.

The Cooper contract is going to be ugly. He will want over 100 million. Will be even more after jones gets his contract. I don’t see us paying him that much.

I don't see where the Cowboys have much of a choice. They essentially locked in to paying him the day they traded for him. Problem was that they didn't get the extension done the day they made the trade. Now the price tag has only gone up. Way up.

I am thinking it’s to far up. Wasn’t that 4 years 100 million. That’s 25 million. I think our FO was thinking 18.

Agreed. Cooper isn't elite , whence he can't have an elite contract .

You know, I know Zeke is suffering.

I know I would be miserable in Cabo on the beach gulping 'ritas and tearing up the senoritas!

If he was really missing the team and TC he'd be in Dallas working out 4-5 hours a day getting in top shape for when he does return.

Zeke comes across as a very dull bulb ... or as grandpa used to say "he ain't got sense enough to poor pizz out of a boot with the directions on the heel!"

I would give Cooper MT's contract without thinking twice. Down to the exact wording and structure.

It's a great deal for the Saints.

Zeke could easily play hard ball in training camp.Just hold out when the season actually starts
He needs physical conditioning and if Moore is installing a new offense he needs to be here learning it.

Brown is full of it.

Zeke only carries about himself. With the # of times the Cowboys have had his back and knowing his team is preparing for a potential deep playoff run, he should be in camp and worry about his contract next year. Why do Dak and Amari understand this but Elliott does not? The answer is simple.

Zeke happens to be an absolutely great football player. But controversy, poor judgement, and entitlement cloud his potential.

Probably would have been more effective although the hate against him from fans would have been greater if that's even possible.

Don’t care. Both he and his greedy agent can go piss up a rope. I don’t want to see him play for us ever again. If he does, I’ll be hoping he gets tackled reeeaaallly reeeaaallly hard every time.
Lol!!!! Great fan!! Fletcher Cox, please tackle our running back because i don't like him!!!
