I like Bridgewater a lot and think he could end up being a very good starter if his knee holds up. That's a big if though, give me the proven QB who's never had a losing record.

Bridgewater's body is too brittle. To me he is too thin to ever be a starter in the league. I remember that year he made the playoffs with the Vikings. I was not impressed and he had an all world running back.

As much as I think Dak has significant issues with accuracy beyond 4 yards, I'd take him over Smith as well.

lol. Wentz makes $32 mill. Dak is better than an injury prone qb who chokes. And Dak doesn't lack arm strength. He once threw a 60-70 pass preseason rookie year. His arm has since improved. Accuracy? 70% completions with Cooper in lineup.

Let’s be accurate about it though.

Alex Smith was trash early in his career. He was absolutely terrible.

Alex Smith improved and got better as his career went on. This improvement didn’t really happen until he was in the league for like 5 or 6 years.

Dak’s level of play during his first 3 seasons. Was similar to Alex smith’s Level of play after he was in the league for like 6+ plus seasons and made dramatic
Improvements during that time.

So if he wants to compare Dak to Alex Smith, that’s fine. But if he was being honest about it. He would point out that Dak as a rookie/young player was playing as good as Alex Smith when Alex was at his peak after years and years of league experience.

Smith #1 overall pick and took years to do anything close to what Dak did his first year.

Usually when you’re drafted #1 to come into a horrible situation that has to be navigated for a few years. It’s not apples to apples to compare numbers or W/L. You’d have to extensively review film to fairly make that comparison.
