QB Mike White: Same thing I've seen from camp. He does not appear to have NFL QB ability. The blocking was not good often but when it was he just does not think fast and his release seems a bit slow as well.
WR Michael Gallup: There's not enough talk about how the Cowboys got a steal with a 3rd round pick. He is a good player.
WR Cedrick Wilson: I said he might show up more than the the speed guys & he did. He gets open and catches the ball when it comes to him. He can also block and is an option to field punts.
WR Jon'Vea Johnson: I said he might be a little over-hyped in camp by the media because speed WRs catching deep passes have more bling appeal than a WR just getting open, catching the ball and blocking. The results were mixed but about what I expected.
WR Jalen Guyton: Nothing impressive other than the resilience to pop up after taking hard hit.
WR Devin Smith: Showed up much more than in camp. He looked smooth in routes and catching the ball. I get an odd vibe with regards to his on-field demeanor.
WR Reggie Davis: Inconclusive.
RB Tony Pollard: Looked good as expected but only played 9 snaps.
RB Mike Weber: Hard to judge considering the blocking. He looks more like an NFL RB than Jackson or Chunn to me. He flashed good athleticism and running ability but also made some mistakes.
RB Darius Jackson: Great athlete but the results always seem to be lackluster. If the blocking creates a hole he can run through it, but he does not seem to make defenders miss tackles. He is good catching the ball and has a nice burst after the catch but he seems to be instantly down at first contact by a defender.
RB Jordan Chunn: Hard to judge. Got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
RB-FB Jamize Olawale: I did NOT see any failed blocks. If he had a bad block please let me know which plays.
TE Blake Jarwin: Good receiver as expected. Not much of a blocker but manages to get in the way enough more often than not. Pass blocking a little better than run blocking.
TE Dalton Schultz: He is a similar blocker to James Hanna which means very solid blocker. Had a good catch. I don't recall any bad blocks. He had a non-catch on a pass I think Jarwin would have caught.
TE Codey McElroy: Has good athleticism but no clue as a blocker. He did get open and caught all passes that were catch-able including 3 catches in a sequence of 5 offensive plays. He was a primary culprit in the failed 4th down play.
OT Mitch Hyatt: Most disappointing performance relative to expectations. I said that in camp he looked better than Campos, but he might have been worse than Campos in the game.
OT Jake Campos: I don't see any upside. Not strong or overly athletic.
OG Xavier Su'a-Filo: I can't figure this guy out. He'll go for several snaps and look good but then just whiff. It looks like his feet quit moving and he just extends his body.
OG Adam Redmond: Bullied back by 2nd/3rd team DL.
