I don't think that Happens. I could be wrong... But this is a JG team. Ball out first 3 games when they can't score a TD vs. the 9ers 2nd sting in preseason? No wat that happens.
Well y’all say he needs Zeke so he should be trash in the three games

$40M is code for “go ahead and franchise me, twice.”

Might not be a bad route to go for Dak, honestly. He’ll lock in a big payday, collect the franchise tag dollars, and participate in the new QB market after the CBA and Mahomes’ new deal potentially resets the market.

That’s how negotiations work. You don’t get to be where you want to be by making an initial demand LESS than what you are truly ok with.

That's a heckuva gap there. A full 25% is pretty significant. Typically the negotiating gaps are somewhere within 10%.

This is why Brady is the GOAT! Takes less money for the rest of his team to get paid under the cap.

Helps to have a rich wife who makes top dollar. It's the reason Brady takes less. The gift in NE that keeps on giving.

If true, he knows realistically he's not going to get that much. You set the bar high so you can meet somewhere in the middle.
Personally, I think $30 million is too much for him. I'd basically tell him, "Show me what you can do and how far YOU can take us this year" then we'll talk further.
But the Jones won't. Dak will sign for about $34 million.

Didn't Brady just sign a 2 year deal for $41MM???

That was TOM BRADY.

I never know what to believe these days but if true Dak is crazy.

Trust me, Brady is not playing for that kind of $$. That's what he makes on paper but he has ALOT of guaranteed $$...

Well, that and NE Patriots are proven winners. And now it's more about legacy more than anything else.

Hahahahahaha

This is absurd. Let him play this season and then offer him a fair contract based on this year and let him test the market to see if ANY team will pay him $30-40 million.
Sadly, someone will pay that.

Looking at negotiations, you'd think this team was coming off of back-to-back SB wins. Sign Cooper and let Dak and Zeke go play behind a less impressive O-line, then see what their worth comes in at.
