even if this is posturing for 34-35 its still insane..he should take the 30 but im thinking its posturing to get more guaranteed money then Wentz for what I heard today wentz has the most guaranteed money even know his deal is only 32.. Im betting maybe his 30mil offer he turned down didnt have enough GM so he countered with 40 to make point..

somehow fans think Zekes not worth 15 , righttttttt :( :rolleyes:o_O:popcorn:

First off, its not Dak doing anything. Its his agent getting as much as he can. And I still dont believe they are asking 40 million.

It’s real...most of the time things are leaked on purpose. The Cowboys wanted this information out there.

In negotiations you ask high, entertain lowball offers and meet in the middle. But the media knows you'll only react to the players asking high. That way people can stretch their "outrage" muscles and the media can get their clicks.

This is true, but the middle of 30 and 40 is 35, which seems like a lot of money to pay Dak Prescott.

I like the kid, I just don't think he's a top 10 QB so making him the highest paid - even for a minute - seems like a stretch at this point.

This is how you justify $40M a year?

I guess Dak should ask for $60M. Otherwise who do we roll with?
That's on the front office for not drafting or developing a suitable contender to take his job. He has a ton of leverage.

True but she said they offered him $30 million and he TURNED IT DOWN !! I’m really starting to sour on Dak. For Christ’s sake $25 million is too much but that’s the market. Now he’s turning down Wilson level money? Did he forget that he was a fourth rounder and if Romo was just a little bit healthier with Zeke and that 2016 team.....well you know.

any backup like Fitz Case keenum etc with Zeke and amri this line and that defense which can be bolstered with not paying Dak 40 money.. yes those tools are barely a downgrade from dak and with a true team around them , see Case Keenum be a playoff QB with Vikings? there are Backups you pay 12 -15 per too that can hold down the fort until draft day 2020 first rounder goes a QB..

hopefully they give him 33 no more. Thats because wentz is at 32 and thats market.

This is the problem, right here. Folks thinking that 33 is his market. His market aint 25, I'd bet but whatever. As long as fans are going to accept this kind of stuff, he and his agent are going to demand crazy numbers. Trade him. Lets go get Fromm.

Haha, at one point I thought Dak was a reasonable guy that put the team first. Rather throw that money at two elite pass rushers and keep some other pieces intact. 30 million should be the max contract for Dak, let him play out the year and see what happens. Regardless what happens can't imagine his contract gets substantially larger.

Lol. Last I heard they were asking 34 like Wilson got. Whom is a SB winning QB. Was looking to settle in around 32 or 32.5. Slightly higher than wentz got.

If he is asking for 40 and won’t take the 32.5 then he plays his rookie deal out and tag him next year.

Dak and Elliot talking every day. Wonder if Dak gets close to opening day and starts talking about holding out.

By the time he's eligible to be franchised, the top 5 QB AAV will be north of 36 million. It's already at 33 million. Yikes.
