....I always try to make to time for reading. Mostly non-fiction. I always like to read 2 books at a time.
One serious which provokes mental stimulus. The other frivolous, lighter and allows for pacing oneself better.

So right now, mental side: The art of thinking clearly by Rolf Dobelii

frivolous side: The Ghost Studies (new perspectives on the origins of paranormal experiences)
by Brandon Massullo

I've always been interested in the paranormal. But aren't we all?
 
I picked up Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson a couple weeks ago. It is sitting here on my desk but I admittedly haven't picked it up yet, though, I do look forward to it. I have too many hobbies. Not enough time in the day.

......hahaha.. yeah, know the feeling. Finding time is the major task. I have set a reminder on my Windows 10 to charm me, that I have to read today. Even for 30 minutes..;)...

Currently The Brethren by John Grisham. Just finished Tom Clancy’s Red Storm Rising. I average about a book per week.

...that's the way I used to read books myself...These days I can hardly give time to reading much of anything. Most of what I read is in the "Virtual World!"...
articles...movies...etc. :cool:

Very good read.
 
I only read Fantasy or Sci Fi. I keep a list on Amazon of everything I want to read and when one goes on sale I pick it up. I have about 200 Kindle books I haven't read on my phone.

Yose, are you into building PC's? I say that, because of the books you listed. One of my hobbies apart from reading is being PC enthusiast. Been building PC's for about 20 yrs now. ;).. And occasionally playing badass game to go along with it.

I build my first PC around the mid 90s I believe. The last pre-built (non-laptop) PC I bought was a Pentium 120Mhz.

I'm not reading these books for PCs though. I have several hobbies besides IT that got me into electronics. First and foremost, is being a career IT guy. Though I also play guitar (which includes rewiring them, changing pickups, etc), but also their amplifiers.

I'm also a ham radio operator and build stuff for that including antennas, filters, keyers, and a host of other stuff.

Finally, I just love building and repairing electronics if I can.

I also have a ton of winemaking books. (I make wine!)

I have Astronomy and Astrophotography books including books in editing / combining images. (I also build electronic devices to help this hobby too!)

I play chess as a hobby, though it's been a while.

I enjoy woodworking and programming. In my IT career I built high availability enterprise and internet infrastructure.

These days, I'm executive management, but I still love to get my hands dirty.

I am and will always been an avid learner of anything that I find interesting and hence why I have so many hobbies!
