Taco?

Do you guys watch the games at all?

Yup...kid has started to ball. Hasn't got the sacks...but he's making plays on the right side...tipped passes, pressure...which makes you wonder....now what? Crawford move back to DT or LDE? I'm not moving Taco off the RDE....he can rotate w/ Quinn...and we are solid there. We also got Armstrong playing well there too...sadly...we got too many guy there. Somebody has gotta move...not sure how this is all gonna work how ...I guess there is worse problems to have.

Taco has been much better so far this preseason. Like a different player.

It’s a good thing for him too, because he wouldn’t have made it into his 3rd year if he didn’t get much better.

He won’t start because he has better people in front of him but he can be part of a good rotation... which is better than he’s been in his first two years.

You lost me at liability. Just simply not true.
Heath has two issues due to his physical limitations:

1. He often gets left behind in coverage when the receiver makes a cut.
2. He often gets abused when faced w/ an open field tackle. In NFL lingo they call it "Breaking down to make the tackle". In layman's terms it means going one way or the other to mirror the guy w/ the ball.

Both are due to having poor lateral agility. He's got speed and knows what to do, he's just not always able to do it.

Actually, he said "huge liability."
He's not HOF caliber, but he's a good player who's available and plays special teams. He's made some very solid plays in games that have saved us. I'll never understand the "liability" nonsense.
You can't have all elite players.

Says the guy who wanted Moore starting, not Prescott. lol.

That's like the 6th time you have brought this up...got anything else? because it's old....and I won the aurgement anyway...career ending injuries happen. Get over it.

I’m happy with Taco’s improvement
Heath is the 2nd best safety (not saying much)
Maher is terrible

Both backup QBs.

I wouldn’t wanna see either Rush or White on the field in anything other than a blowout-loss mop-up situation.

I love Heath, but he's a liability in coverage and in the open field. I want him back at STer/nickel where he flourished.

Anyone not talking about Maher has a clear agenda against kickers as football players.

Possibly.

Thing is, I love Heath as a player. That's why I want him back where he belongs. It's not his fault Jerry hasn't found a S who can beat him out as starter.

Problem generally comes in when you face playoff teams. They pick at your weaknesses. Put Heath in a position where he has to mirror the route, and he'll get abused way too often.

I absolutely hated it back when they tried to make star STer Keith Davis a starter. Same thing here, though Heath is definitely better than Keith was as a starter.
