Half Season Rental?

Lets day the team looks to be a sure fire SB contender and we get two weeks out from the trade deadline. Let’s also assume our defensive tackles continue to look like they did during the Giants game. Would you trade a pick for a half season rental for a stout DT (maybe a 4th) that you probably wouldn’t resign?

I would do a 1 year rental for just about anything that would help our pick for a day 3 compensation if it was a legit player.

I'd rather trade Taco though and let McClay role the dice in the draft.


I think DT and Safety are the obvious put us over the top defensively pieces.

Quinn is going to be a big upgrade over Crawford when he comes back.

Because we still have Garrett and we need more talent than the other team has in order to win. We aren't going to out coach anyone.

It's looking good and i'm really optimistic but I want to see what Kellen does when he has created tendencies and NFL teams adjust.

Linehan always looked good until he had tendencies and then he just kept doing the same things over and over because they had previously worked.

How can we answer that when we haven't even seen him play in a real game in a Cowboys uni. Granted,Crawford is not setting the bar high for us to answer "yes" but still, we don't know yet.

Look again. Yes they did. Our defensive line got pushed around and did nothing. They picked up right where they left off last year, getting us bounced out of the playoffs.

When Quinn comes back Crawford probably moves inside, which may help, a little.

Yes, these are considered "baseball trades" due to all of the activity at the baseball trade deadline each year. They are becoming more popular in the NBA and NFL.

I'm giving them at least as couple more days before I'd consider this option.

The big run by the Giants was a problem due to the DE crashing inside and the LB not filling.

Not convinced we have a big problem at DT.
