I thought it would be interesting to create a thread to see what everyone else sees the eventual Prescott extension looking like?

It's sounding like the team wants to sign him to a long-term extension but his reps want a shorter deal and another shot at a bigger payday later.

I think that the compromise might be a 6-year extension like the one Zeke signed.

My thinking is a 6-year extension in the range of $200-210 million in total. At face value, it would look just like the $35 million a year deal Wilson signed. But given the extension aspect and his low number this year, it would average out to about $30 million a year.

Huge numbers for sure.

What are everyone else's thoughts?

So hard to say. The front office would like a long term deal, probably 7 years. Dak and his agent would prefer 4 years.

I say they compromise and it’s 5 years for $180 million, $115 million guaranteed.

This or like I said in another thread, just have a clause where his APY can't drop below top 5-3.

That works out to $36 million a year on the new deal, that's even richer than Russell Wilson's!

$32 million a year, with an incentive that bumps it to $36 million if they with the SB this year.
5 year deal.

This I can see......slot him between Wentz and Goff BUT he gets chance at Wilson money for playoffs/SB.

This is a major decision as it will impact the future of our team for the next 5 years at least due to the fact that there are other players that will be looking for the big bucks down the line.
There are very valid reasons to wait and one great game vs the Giants does not warrant a 200 million contract and esp 35 million $ a year which is Top 5 QB money and Dak is NOT a top 5 QB!
As the tag is always a option (If needed) the FO should wait it out see how Dak performs the rest of the way and then decide if they should invest a huge chunk of our Cap dollars for #4.
Seems the FO is pretty much agreeing with the above as of today no MASSIVE DEAL has been signed.
Personally if I was Dak as I know I need numerous amounts of great talent around me to succeed and taking into considerations all the endorsement deals he makes I'd take a team friendly deal in a heartbeat as trust me the days of ineptness of our passing game will return at some point and he runs the risk of losing major leverage come this coming spring.
Don't be blinded by the Giants,Skins,Phins games wait till we meet the Saints,Bears,Philly,Rams,Vikes,Packers which will be great tests on how much our Dak and his game have grown.
There are no excuses anymore for Dak or his followers here he has ALL the weapons to make this happen this year!!!
ALL THE WEAPONS!!!!
I wish our QB God's speed in his task!!!!!
